I saw that and didn't realize that's where it happened. What a freaky thing. We were speculating that they may have flown through a cloud of gas of some kind. Not good whatever happened.

Presbytery meeting today....winding down, will soon be a thing of the past. Today, I think we learn a little more about all the changes. It is being held at our church camp and I'll be driving down with a really interesting, smart, kind-hearted person...So looking forward to the drive!

Our final presbytery meeting is next month. Former prebyterers invited. I am attending Fri and Sat but then am scurrying back to our congregation where I am doing the service on General Council.

Vacation day today, finally cool enough and after some rain to tackle the weeds. Thneoff towalk along the dykes with my walking group for 10 km. Later out for supper with my best friend and playing some crib tonight. Have topick up some lottery ticket for my OT group- we so would love to retire early.....

Need to get off wondercafe, and start the "day before shower" preperations.
Looking forward to the shower. There will be 7 little girl cousins 2 & under., plus their moms and grandmas.

Knowing how much these young women like my son, and how fun and lovely they are, I am looking forward to the gathering.

Will there be one of those "cakes" made from diapers as a centerpiece? Games?

There will be no diaper cake, but she did get one at a previous shower.
Games include: a chocolate bar / candy game, where the names of the candy is the answer to a quiz, Price is right on a bin of grocery/drugstore items
Food is sushi (coz mom didn't eat sushi when pregnant), fruit skewers and cheese board and..a delicious cupcake tree from a friend who has a bakery.
Drinks are a mimosa bar (with non-alcoholic version)
Favours are little gift bags with soap, wildflower seed packs, as well as the posies (roses, babybreath) which are used for decoration in the room.

Sounds like fun! Just curious as to why now that the baby is born? Maybe a family tradition?
I just think of the once baby has arrived as being open to all, not just the females, although I haven't seen it done all that often to really have a big norm in mind. I just know there's lots of males interested in meeting the baby too!
