And actually, that sort of came to me when I compared my reaction to the news to my old guy's yesterday, when he was over here. He seemed a bit overwrought, and it seemed to be a combination of six hours of Humboldt Tragedy coverage mixed in with a whole pile of Trump and a little too much Kinder Morgan blended with Baby Trudeau (his words). I knew what was going on, but he seemed distressed about it and needed to dissect it all a bit. He has the TV on all day, I do not have cable TV, and wouldn't say I've even got Netflix open most of the time. CBC is almost always playing on the radio, unless I turn it off to listen to a TEDTalk or similar and then bliss out in the sound of silence.
And to add to Seeler's soup, I roasted myself a little chicken, with roast potatoes, mashed turnip & carrot, and a bit of gravy. It's smelling very good and I'm happy to share. No dessert, I'm afraid.
