Unlike a lot of people, Tylnl does nothing for me.

I'm finding acetominophen (Tylenol) has become less useful for me as I age. I often head straight for the ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) now, esp. when I need cold & sinus versions.

Fun

Did you go with anyone @Mrs.Anteater
With 80” long parts of the bed, there was no space to take anyone, box was going from the glove department to the trunk.
It was fun. I had swedisch meatballs as usual and looked at everything in the store ( making notesof the next wish list items) . i admit it, I am an IKEA addict. I get withdrawal if I go without for longer than 6 weeks.

I don't even tend to bother with that stuff. I usually go to Aleve unless it's minor. I also have prescription naproxen. I will mix in tylenol with NSAIDS if needed as well.
For cold & flu I like the medicated hot drinks - usually just buy generic brands. They help me get a decent sleep too. Pharmacists think it's odd I take so many different antihistamines together when sick or allergies are really bad, but many immunologists actually recommend cocktails to those with bad allergies so I don't worry about it being dangerous - my doctors know I do it.

I bought a wall bed aka murphy bed form Costco for my spare room.
It was a process. Bought the mattress first so guests could still stay over. Was waiting as I knew the month wall beds went on sale. Then bought hardwood flooring from Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Had the painting down first, then the flooring and finally the bed mounted to the wall and added the mattress. I think it was finished 18 months ago or so. I love it-especially that I can pop the bed up when not in use.

Was grumble today with someone who thought it was funny to joke about mankind, then took it further . . . . fireman, etc.

There are some days gender bias gets to me.

My newest fav gender neutral word is "postie", to cover letter carrier (formerly mailman), a clumsy term if there ever was one.

Technically speaking we live in a three bedroom house. In real life one is an office and one is a craft area. We have a double bed in the room we call our bedroom and enjoy snuggling together. There is a double bed in the spare bedroom in the basement. Any further guests can sleep on a couch or a sleeping pad generally used for camping - they can even get to choose - upstairs or down..

She can have the sofa bed. I had to sleep on it while Chungmoneem was visiting. Could feel the bars and springs through the mattress. Not. fun.

Our sofa bed was getting like that by the time we retired it. Never bought another one. We have a futon on a frame in the den that can be used as a double bed. Though it's getting a big long in the tooth as well. I bought it the year we got married, IIRC, so it's about 25 years old now.

Watched part of W5 last night -- Steel Town Down -- my hometown. It doesn't come out looking too good. I've always known we have a drug crisis, but this program made me realize that it is much worse than I thought. I wish I knew how to help these hurting souls....

Some really solid, pragmatic alternatives to pain (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) on a societal level, would help.

i went to a funeral of a man that was much loved and gifted today. He was 64.
On the way to the funeral, I got a phone call that my father was quite irate and wanted his &(&)^%% daughter to come and get him a new watch or fix it. My dad is 92. I went after the funeral. Fixed his watch (he had held down a button which turned off the sound). I was then verbally abused by him.
I at times ponder the inequity of the man who rides in on a pale horse.
