i went to a funeral of a man that was much loved and gifted today. He was 64.
On the way to the funeral, I got a phone call that my father was quite irate and wanted his &(&)^%% daughter to come and get him a new watch or fix it. My dad is 92. I went after the funeral. Fixed his watch (he had held down a button which turned off the sound). I was then verbally abused by him.
I at times ponder the inequity of the man who rides in on a pale horse.

Life sure ain't fair.
I'm sorry that you have to go through this with your father Pinga. Try not to let it get you down.

I have a great watch at the moment - large face, big black numbers & hands (second hand even!) comfy black rubbery band. Got it at Michael's for $12 I think! I've been surprised at how durable it is. I got another one too - it was Buy One Get One Half Off day! My days of spending hundreds on watches are done!

Sad to hear of the loss of your friend pinga. 64 is my age ... feels much too young to depart.

Dad's watch is a "talking watch" . It is sold by CNIB.
It is comforting for him to hear the time.
At times, he will do it every 5 minutes, but, it is his comfort.

Ah yes - those talking watches are wonderful. Love all the CNIB items for those with low vision.

My dear friend's daughter, whose dog Bailey I walk most mornings, lost her battle with cancer yesterday. She was first diagnosed some seven years ago. It was a long hard journey. I'm glad she can rest now. I am very sad for her Mom and brother and extended family and friends; she was much beloved.

My anniversary tonight. 36th.
Romantic dinner, her work has been hectic, so we’ll slow it down and relax over a tasty, not overly expensive red. The good part about today being our anniversary is there are good tables in restaurants tonight, but not tomorrow.

I’ll drink a bit slow, to ensure she consumes a bit more wine than I do. Then when we get home, I’ll probably get ‘lucky’. She’ll fall asleep and I’ll get to watch some curling! Although it doesn’t seem to be on Shaw on demand. Maybe YouTube?

Video Overview | CBC Olympics | PyeongChang 2018

If you scroll in the Events ribbon a bit, you'll see a "Coming Up" for men's curling. That means they'll be streaming it from the site. Once it is over, it remains available for viewing. Canada's opening draw is against Italy. US is playing the hosts.

Happy anniversary to you and Mrs. Geronimo. :)
