In fairness, Rita, whatever Jae's choice of news sites, this is a real issue. I've seen it reported in other media.
There was a recent row in Quebec about a transgendered woman being elected to head the largest women's rights group in Quebec, with some feminists arguing that someone born a man can't identify with women's issues. A Nigerian feminist named Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie distinguishes between trans-women and other women. Lierre Keith is a radical feminist who believes gender is more of a "caste" than an "identity."
I'm not saying it's a widespread issue, nor am I saying that I agree (I think people should identify as who they believe they are, and I will personally identify someone as who they believe they are) but the sentiment it is out there and I'd also be curious how you respond to those arguments.
