There was a thread called "Fun Facts about your City" on which I posted a photo of the Lethbridge Viaduct which is a very impressive high-level bridge. I'm hoping to see the Holiday Train cross it this year. This photo is from a recent visit and makes it looks like Santa is taking the train right up into the sky.

All it needs is a team of Photoshopped reindeer!

Really seeler? That is a big chip on your shoulder

I'll leave it at that as it is room for all. If you truly feel that way, let's have a thread.

Sorry Pinga and others, I didn't mean to sound strident. It's just the way many Maritimers feel at times - kind of overlooked and ignored. I dare say that there are other parts of the country - small settlements in remote areas - that sometimes feel the same.

19983252_10156285846923521_8301592861430064731_o.jpg It was a wet rainy day. The duck was landbound. And the little couple with the umbrella is my husband and me. It was great fun to visit the giant rubber ducky.

How is the snow situation in other parts of Canada. I've seen some pictures people have posted - have you had more? does it last or melt away?
Down heere we've had generally mild weather; only a few days we've seen a whiff of snow, but it quickly melts away. Checking the weeather on line I see snow predicted twice this coming week - Sunday and Wednesday - with temps hovering around the freezing/melting point. No hint of whether we will have build-up.
Green Christmas? or a few big storms?
I have important dates on the 9th, 13th, 14th, and 18th - as well as taking part in the service on the 24th and going to my daughter's on the 25th.
A light covering of snow would be nicee for the seeason; but please no big storms to block the roads.
Safe driving everybody.

No real accumulation here. We had some on the ground a few weeks ago but had a warm spell almost immediately after so it didn't last. Snow in the forecast this weekend, though.

We don't get the Christmas train here. I'e never heard of it. We didn't get a yellow duck. We do have other things.

We have lots of snow though the current warm weather is helping it decrease. 20171202_092715.jpg

We do have an ex-political type that wrote a book regarding Political Doubletalk that he alluded to as a BS (I.E. that politicians say the things they do to conform and follow partisan lines).

Can you believe such a thing when living in a world of lies where the truth is just not acceptable? The myth will have to substitute as some kind of qualm axiom ... often missed/mist ... as the interim space gets the cloud ... mental fogs?

No wonder we get ethos-ish and bo-ish-ness ... as dark fire at the core of some stars ... some refer to those as dark hole or John the Baptist's cave Theo-Rae that never met the light of Dai due to sub-scribing to a weird understanding ...

The bottom end can erase all thoughts ... just observe (science) ... all as soles? Tis enough to cause one to rise in the early mists ... gone to find a fissure ... That's Pete ... a bog-line of sorts ...

Nothing else here is logic or logos ...

I don't think our snow is going to be going away any time soon. We got a fair bit in November and it was cold, the first half was the coldest in a few decades.
No snow recently and it has been above freezing, but not enough to melt snow. We're not even getting much of the thaw where water starts running down our sidewalk. It is nice, the roads are mostly dry, but the grass is good and covered.

I plan on posting one picture I took. I didn't realize the storing site I use doesn't allow me to copy and paste here. It's nothing like Hilary's, but I was there at least!

Our driveway has been shovelled four times (or more) so far. I'd say the snow level is about normal. Temps tending to be on the milder side - but not warm enough to c use elt.I don't wanta melt as then we get ICE!
Sorry - I don't seem to be able to correct any errors n my text - the letters keep disappearing - like that i.

Funny you should mention snow duck....I remember wanting to build something different than a snowman when I was in Grade 1. So we built a snow duck and the teacher let us paint it yellow. I guess I have a thing for ducks.
