My grandson turned 8 yesterday and we went to their home in Sault Michigan to celebrate. The house and the yard were full of kids, adults, friends, family, all celebrating Dane. My daughter was 17 when she made the decision to keep the baby, despite doctors encouraging her to have an abortion. She raised him as a single mom with help from grandparents, until she married this summer and they became a family of 3. My daughter made some good decisions.

I'm glad that the choice was hers rather than something decided for her by others.
My daughter was single when she told me that she was going to have a baby. I was simply delighted. There were some rough times, but we never regretted her decision. That baby is 20 now; her brother is 13.

Are children with love a de light? Then there's the alternate ...

I believe I was an alternate ... as my mother despised men ... I tend to swing like the Pende U Lum ... a divine spirit of split circumstance? Bi nominal theory ...

A label must be attached ... communion ... networking and dusty cobwebbing? Tis ancient as sages ...

To each their own Luce. I prefer beef, chicken, and fish. However, if you want to eat ass, so be it. :D

You don't understand the hynde NDs yet eh? Vanity must come down ... a beef for many of the host of those feeling haute ... like the winds of Irma ...

However some beefs build on the skeleton .. according to the 2 and 3 gathered to support the rule of 4's ... ten toes up tense down ... superfluously ...

Where's the beef? It is running the course ... a train unseen until beyond the HS!

Wait, they don't carry Lyme disease
Lyme disease is carried by a specific type of tick & the vast majority of the ones here are not of that species. I think I read maybe only 1% may be carriers, and that's good. Of course if you happen to get Lyme - then it's 100% for you! We sprayed with deet, tucked our pants into our socks & tucked in everything else too. It was SO windy today (30-40km sustained winds with much higher gusts!) - we didn't do a hike that we had planned to. So we're tick free :-)

We did lots of backroad driving - found some wonderful old grain elevators, abandoned buildings & vehicles - took many photos. Followed signs down backroads to a heritage stone church built in 1888 - and were delighted to find the door open. Had our picnic lunch on a sunny bench in their cemetery while we leafed through a wonderful book about the church's history.

It's more than one species of tick that carries lyme disease. Other diseases too, I've been hearing of those who have developed the alpha-gal allergy (mammal meat allergy).

Yes, there are a bunch of other tick-born bacteria & diseases .... so it's worth being cautious.

a tick bit me last summer. I was laying down-actually stretching-on the grass at a campground in NS while I waited my turn for the shower. It bit be just on my neck at the hairline. I reached around and felt it. A friend was able to ease it out intact with a credit card-and vaseline. No symptoms. (my sister and partenr both still suffer the effects of lyme in Ontario)

Ticks tend to be more pesky in the spring and early summer. I haven't found DEET (or any repellant( very useful in keeping them off. We check each other all over before bed, easing off ticks as required. That means that I stand still for ages while ticks get removed, my partner occasionally has one. I read somewhere that people who get attacked a lot by mosquitos are also considered prime targets by ticks.

I've never noticed a tick on me. I've seen what I thought were ticks on objects. Mosquitos do seem to go after me. Being allergic to a bunch of stuff likely helps though, I tend to not brush my legs or other skin up against plants.

It only takes one. Last October, I went on a hike with a friend in October. She ended up with one tick on her back, which also had lyme disease. Thankfully her body reacted to it so that it was very painful, and she noticed it being there. It took three or four weeks of tiredness and antibiotics to get better. Funny, though, when I wondered at the beginning of the hike if there would be ticks at that time of the year, she was unconcerned and said, she would never get ticks....

Just survived my cystoscopy. NOT a lot of fun, but probably not as bad as I was imagining. Test result - there's some scar tissue in me. The doctor will soon (I don't feel today) do a minor surgery to remove said tissue.

Prepare to say goodbye to that'issue ! Superficial?
