You should read the Twitter comments about the Warsaw speech. Some are funny - to quell the fear, of course.

And editorials about Trump and Putin's meeting. The Financial Times - usually a fairly serious mag - had an editorial - I had to laugh - the writer went into all this "what if this, maybe that" stuff. Then concluded, basically, with, "Since press wasn't allowed into the meeting and the Kremlin, the Whitehouse, and Tillerson vs. Trump gave some conflicting accounts of the meeting...sorry, I got nothin'."

Aanndd...unfortunately I think we're going to see more of that confusion. Like we haven't already.

What's up with the supposedly proposed U.S. Russia cyber working-group? Someone on Twitter, or maybe it was a Dem Senator, compared it to inviting the people in, who just robbed your house, to show them how to do it better. There were lots of funny analogies. :ROFLMAO:

Chaos Theory ... keep the public confused and the authorities can bring in orders as they wish it to be ... and thoughts bed aimed ...

Yeah its amazing how far Postmodernism and Cultural Marxism has come so that a rousing speech on hoping to stand up for and protect the Enlightment civilization that has uplifted more boats, relieved the needless suffering for centuries that most of humanity has had as their lot results in enough cynical sneers and pessimistic gnashing of teeth...its very strange to read and to experience...

Its almost as if sombunall people out there WANT and GET OFF ON their civilization failing? Strange, strange days...

LA DI DAH!!!

Or (for those who want to experience what the people who are exprriencing the Other Trump Movie) all they heard in that speech amounted to

" There is nothing like our community of nations. The world has never known anything like our community of nations

We write symphonies. We pursue innovation. We celebrate our ancient heroes, embrace our timeless traditions and customs, and always seek to explore and discover brand-new frontiers.

We reward brilliance. We strive for excellence, and cherish inspiring works of art that honor God. We treasure the rule of law and protect the right to free speech and free expression.

We empower women as pillars of our society and of our success. We put faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, at the center of our lives. And we debate everything. We challenge everything. We seek to know everything so that we can better know ourselves.

And above all, we value the dignity of every human life, protect the rights of every person, and share the hope of every soul to live in freedom. That is who we are. Those are the priceless ties that bind us together as nations, as allies, and as a civilization."
-- the offending bit that drove sombunall into self-hating paroxysms...

Jeez. Hitler was one scary enigma of a creature! Trump is a scary enigma of a different kind...he's not Hitler. Hitler was far more attentive (in a bad way) and systematic and... an evil genius. But, evil he was. Trump isn't a cold blooded evil genius. He's something of a free wheelin' grifter - and an enigma for being elected POTUS. He's not the worst person in the world - the problem is the amount of power he has which he's ill equipped for. And I think he just has tantrums. Which he doesn't seem to understand, affect the whole world, and nobody can really reign in cuz he's the boss of the 'free world'. It's quite a conundrum. Quite a time.

Trump dictates by his daily impulses alone, it seems. I don't think he thinks about much but his own ego-hurt. That just seems to be how he's hard-wired. Others do the rest. My worry is his "war on the media" and on every institution that can question or hold to account, his decisions. If he does that on a whim - out of spite - with his immense power, cuz he's mad at sombody(s) it's almost as scary as someone making careful deliberations, with immense power. With Trump - I'm not sure he knows from one day to the next what he'll say or do. His advisors might, though. And, I think Putin makes careful deliberations and is quite possibly using Trump. And the combo of the two of them give me the heebiejeebies.

With Hitler...I'm pretty sure he meant what he said and said what he meant. What he said and meant and carried out was horrible...it wasn't integrity. It was a barbaric dictatorship.

With Trump...nobody's ever sure if he means what he says or says what he means...or even knows for sure what he means by what he says. And he'll say he means it but it doesn't mean what the fake news says it means...and then say he didn't say it, but if he did say it, there's nothing wrong with it. And nobody knows anything anyway...everybody's scratching their heads not sure if they've been grifted...so what the heck. Nevertheless, he's the boss and what he says...whatever it means...carries big weight.

That's why he's disconcerting. It's all the gas lighting - which, again, I think is hard wired behaviour. I don't know if he knows he does it. Which, to question that - feels like being gas lighted. Is he just being childish or is it deliberate? Nobody knows. In a way... he really does have the best words. He uses so few of them, but with such baffling effect.
