TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Nor do starry-eyed imaginings help. You imagine a Trump (quite reasonably) who is evil. Then you build a circle around him of wisdom, charity and enlightenment. But that circle doesn't really exist. If Americans were as thoughtful and reasonable as you suggest, they would not have voted for Trump - not even as minority president. The vote broke because Americans in large numbers were disgusted by the existing parties. They don't know what they want - only what they don't want.
And this is very, very dangerous.
But it's not Trump that caused this problem. Americans were reacting against both parties

That's why the problem is not Trump. The problem is the American loss of any sense of what America is or should be about. Electing Clinton would have solved nothing.
Actually, the most popular politician in the US today is Bernie Sanders. But the big money and most of their media will destroy him be ignoring him.

I'm trying to imagine a Trump who is not actually evil, but a damaged human being - damaged by his circumstances - and how to transform that. Like everybody else, he's a faulty human being. I do not like what he's doing, how he's behaved - but in my starry-eyed imaginings all I want to see is change not retribution and more damage. I see him as being like a damaged kid in an adult body. Arrested development. And we all suffer from it to a degree. Some to a greater degree. Because that seems to be the human condition. He shouldn't have this job and I kind of feel sorry for him, for all of us, that he does.

Ii have never suggested retribution. I am saying that Trump is not the cause of the present chaos in the U.S. It has been brewing for a very long time. The rich have been in control for a long time. Democracy has crashed. Trump didn't do that. Americans, in confusion, turned against the old ways - thought without realizing exactly what it was they wanted. And that is what got them Trump.
The closest thing to a solution is Bernie Sanders. But the wealthy would never allow that to happen
So we are left with a U.S.. thrashing about - still profoundly under the control of corporations, and with no sense of where it wants to go.
You were never going to see change with Clinton. She didn't get monstrous funding from corporate bosses so she could change things.

Neo - Trump has done no such thing. He has, as Hitler did, diluted their anger with racism. So did Obama. So did Bush. They all have been part of the problem.

I'm not at all sure there is any peaceful solution to this. I doubt very much that the wealthy will allow a peaceful solution.

People all around the world are waking up to the fact "their", the voice of the majority is the only thing that matters. This could very well be the beginning of the end for oppressive governments. Or ... it could end badly.

He's given those with anger a voice, there's no doubt about that.
Well, he gave them an outlet that allowed them to vent. That isn't the same thing as giving them a voice. A voice implies a degree of coherence. Venting has no such implication.

I don't know if that's true Revsdd, it seems apparent that the likes of "Steve Bannon" may be the second most powerful man in the world.

Bannon may actually be the most powerful man in the world. But I'm not talking about the Steve Bannons. I'm talking about the mass of people who supported Trump out of anger. Who simply shook their fists and shouted "Yeah man! America first! Make America great again! Lock her up! Build the wall! Ban the Muslims! Fake news!" Those who got captured by angry slogans and sideshows.

Avarice leads on ... why some power sealed our fate here on earth ... all else in abstract ... you know imaginary Utopia ... once dead we go there ... some say its weird! They that can't get beyond reality ... to the other side ... virtual reality?

Tis a mental thing ... like a twit in the present case; it twa's in the past tense situation ... mire soliq-was ... soliloquy as fluid metaphor?

Yet few believe the mind, sol, psyche lives beyond the center of emotional hate ... it is condensed in this dimple of space --- Einstein!

Kimmio - I should get excited because billionaire I've never heard of is going to give five million for a bright idea on world government?
1. Do you know what a tiny portion that 5 million is of a billion?
2. Who will judge the winner? The billionaire? What sort of capacity does he have to make such a judgement?
3.Ever wonder how he would enforce his choice? This world is full of much bigger billionaires who have no interest in world government.
4. What makes you think that any significant portion of the world wants a world government?

Billionaires should make all decisions ... just look at history and who writes history and who conjures up myths about mythical lyres ... sometimes know as abstract false facts as they befell into the histrionic tomes (books)! This cannot change ... the nature of conservation of wealth, in the rite place ... tis a rite of time on this side of the line separating virtue from reality ...

Some believe this line is a LOS (line of sight) in abstract space ... the imaginary sol? Tis a dark entity ... obviously never seen by many ...

What is comes down to is...you hate the wealthy. You really have no solutions. You don't want to think of any. You just hate the wealthy. Or, you're jealous of them. This man started out a poor refugee now he's a wealthy philanthropist. Isn't that a good thing? It's not really about helping the world, for you, is it? You said the wealthy are not interested in solutions. Here's one who is. Now - I agree that most of them have a tendency to be too greedy. But don't knock the decent ones and their ideas.

This is about encouraging thinkers...not necessarily about his ability to 'enforce' a world government. He's calling for a revamp of the UN. At least, for young people - anyone, but young people especially - to start thinking about how to make it better. Interesting that your choice of words is 'world government'. Those are fear mongering words in certain circles. Maybe you chose them for that reason.

Did you take a look at his foundation. What is it? What does it aim to do? And who are the supporters?
