ps. I can attest Seeler does quite well, having walked with her at the Jays game. She is "Seeler" as I remember her, and though it is more than an annoyance to her, Seeler adjusts as one would expect her to, if you knew her.
Basically, she is what my Mom would describe as a trooper. Someone who rolls with whatever life throws her way.

So, I am thankful for Seeler sharing her knowledge of this illness/disease, and for the the various ways one can be impacted.
Always the teacher.

I am annoyed at Air canada and our airport right now. Caught a news story that flights in darkness are no longer going out of our airport. (short version-trees are too tall, alternate approach means runway too short for night time flights). One hockey billet is flying from here to Vancouver Wed, night and then on to Taipai. So we called Air canada. When I asked if they were going to call and tell us about it-after all they take contact numbers -the gal said "We put it on our website". Not good enough for me. How about you?

Do you check the website before each flight?

Anyhow now I am driving him to Kelowna that's 3+ hours of driving for me ( return), and missing an event. But really? What would have happened if we had just shown up at the airport? The student would have missed his connecting flight and the tournament he is flying home for!

I've never been a fan of Air Canada. I've been to events where people flying West Jet had no issues but those on AC have. For how little I fly it's a pretty bad track record.

I agree that's ridiculous that they didn't do any contacting. Putting it on the website is reasonable for people in the process of making plans, not those who already have them.

It all worked out. Turns out I am booked into lunch and a professional development equipment fair Wed. afternoon in Kelowna. I hadn't realized that as this is a rare happening for me.
So work is already paying my mileage!
J will miss 2 classes-he'll go to mall while I am at equipment demo. I'll get him to the airport and head home for other hockey player . All will be well.

Not sure Pinga. It's tricky enough booking etc. with the chinese characters and english translations. They certainly had a valid e-mail and sent no alert.

You're so right Seeleer - we all have unique experiences when it comes to specific effects of diseases. Yesterday, I was watching an episode of The Nature of Things from CBC, called something like The Ways the Brain Heals. Pretty interesting stuff on neuroplasticity, told in a variety of personal vignettes. One featured a man with Parkinsons who works on 'intentional movement' - fascinating to see.

Some stoics don't like the mysterious brain to heal ... put it down and just do as you will ... without a'th aught! Thus those that think about mysteries ... must express them thus ... cognito ergo sum ... therefore it goes ... on ... Roma/amoR ... another anagram !

Are anagrams like comeback, sor reflections in the dark? One needs a wee sunshine ... even at midnight during the mauling over of what happed in the Dai ... brain creep or reorganization?

Often things just continue as was ... as few observe (science) of another way ... if you can imagine! Mental projection ...

Efficiency means cutting costs and service ... that's the way it is for those that don't understand full service to all concerned ...

The lessor powers are thus excluded service ... all the more for the hubris factor ...

This applies to:
  • Food
  • Shelter
  • Clothing
  • Health
  • Education
  • Concerns for others
Leading to the 7th magic power of desperados appearing out of no where ... songs of anger about governance? Holy 8 as hate ... thus the human is consumed with ID!

Yet when the governor was included in the education factor ... he lost out too! Was contagious to the senatorial group ...

Glad that it worked out for you Tabitha, and that is really weird that AC would do that. Thankfully, you were able to adjust, I imagine others would not have been able to.

I was at Five Oaks last night, and a combination of Tim Horton's coffee (which I never drink any more, let alone after supper), a busy and challenging but productful meeting, a social time afterward, and then....a sinus infection that decided to kick in...meant that I wasn't going to sleep. I ended up being outside getting fresh air and just walking a bit at 3am, then finally falling asleep at 3:45 or so...and I was on breakfast duty so had to be up super early.

Dang, that was not enough sleep; however, we had a really successful meeting. I am so impressed with the gifts of the people who are on the board, who are on our members working group and strive to do what is best for the community and church.

ps. yes, I need sleep, but also need to wind down, and watching the game while catcing up on wondercafe is doing the perfect relaxation while my family is sleeping.

At least you're in the same time zone as Chicago (or does your lack of DST mess that up?). It was an hour later here. I don't like watching baseball but lots of people around here do. Lots of yawning going on. :D

And the game kept everyone awake. So did you finally get to sleep/
Yes, but....I am a klutz.
I fell asleep on the couch. My husband was leaving early this morning, and I awoke when he was up & about. It was still dark when I went up to bed, and I didn't turn on the light in our room. Can you imagine where this is going? There were some boxes on the floor in our room and I was unaware of them, tripped over them, and landed on my back, in the closet, with my feet up on the boxes!
All is well, though, I may have some nice bruises tomorrow. Nothing compared to Kimmio's fall.

Should a light be on when relating to a'mon in ABBA'd position? Laid out unconscious ...

Could scare d' L outa've heh ...

Seelerman wakes me and tells me when its time to go to bed - I put my nightgown on at about 8:00 pm and sit down in the recliner to watch TV - around 10:30 he turns off the TV and let's me know 'Time for bed. I barely wake up before I crawl between the sheets and close my eyes again.
That's on good nights. Last night I didn't fall asleep, either in the livingroom or in bed until 4:00 am. Now I'm behind on my morning chores and spending time on the Cafe.

Sounds like my house too Seeler - except it's me waking my husband to tell him it's bedtime!

Trees are now appropriately trimmed. Flights in darkness are back but oh the stories there are. My co-worker C went to Vancouver for a work mtg. Decided to stay late and go out with a friend for dinner. Booked on the 11pm flight home due to arrive at midnight. Late night but airport is only 10 minutes form home.. Went to check in in Vancouver. Flight was routed to Kelowna. Folks were then bused to my town. Arrived home at 2am.

I can't believe it is 11pm already. I have been working through emails, minutes and documents: moving, doing follow-through and recording tasks. It can take a lot of time. .

I've had a good weekend. Visit with Chemguy's cousin who was in town yesterday, sister in law came too.
Spent most of today at my sister's for my nephew's birthday party. He's such an active happy guy. Quite a few people came for the party, it was a good time. I feel kinda worn out from this week though. I might go steal one of the leftover cupcakes we brought home and then go to bed early. I haven't had a solid 12 hour sleep for a while.

Clocks turned back an hour last night, and still I wake up at the same time, except the clock said 6 instead of 7.... Hope everyone remembers for church today or any other appointments!
