All people every where have the same human rights which no one can take away.

This is the basis of freedom justice and peace in the world.

Enough Said. We do not need the UN to adopt this or break it down into a gazillian interpretations and enforce compliance.
Yes, we do need the UN. There are 7 billion people in the world. And they can't enforce it. It's voluntary but too many ignore it.

Yeah, he's gained some ground over the last week. That's actually the second poll to show it (the other was done for Reuters by a polling company whose name I forget). Unlike some, I have never dismissed Trump. I think his policies are nuts, to be sure, but nuts can carry you a long way in US politics.

A good article using that CNN poll to explain statistics and polling:

Right, but it's an aggregator. As more and more polls show Trump's rise (assuming that's what is happening) their numbers will shift, too. Hopefully, this is a blip and not Trump gaining momentum. With their stupid electoral college system where all but two states are first past the post (ie. if you win the state by even 1%, you get all of their electoral college votes), he only needs a slight margin in some swing states to turn things around. He could technically lose the popular vote by a percent or two and still end up in the White House.

It is a sad event when such a bombastic candidate as Trump is neck and neck with Clinton. Of course it is because she could likely be the worst Democratic candidate since Obama.

300,000 people and this is the best they get

I know many Americans who are considering not voting for either. And that is sad

Who should the candidates be? It takes money. It takes power. It takes being on the inside. Though of course Obama showed that you didnt have to be totally on the inside, just have a nice way with words. " yes we can!" Do what? No one seemed to ask him and eight years later, things are worse not better in the USA

I hate all the talk od their election but its inevitable as we are so tied to them. I am about to spend a buisiness trip with 90 americans and my hubby has laid down the rules. "Do not talk politics, ever". I will try
That's why people should not put their hope on the POTUS but rather focus on voting down ticket...the people who actually make a difference in the USA...

If Trump is POTUS it might not even matter who is down ticket. He's that bad. He'll just run the whole show regardless. And regardless of how badly. I wouldn't assume that the structure and process would stay the same and be reliable.

How nice for him that he lives in a safe neighbourhood and that Trump's words are not going to incite violence or chaos there. Good for him. Not so good for people who have good reason to fear the dark. That is to say ... People who have experienced racial and ethnic and nationalistic violence and happen to live in less safe neighbourhoods or parts of the world - that just makes Scott Adams look ignorant to the plight of others because we can already see what this fear and anger is doing elsewhere and has done in the past. But he thinks because he'll be okay (which he might as an upper middle class white guy in a safe neighbourhood - and that might be true for many but not for many others ) that all is okay. He has a bias.

When Persuasion Turns Deadly
Posted July 11th, 2016 @ 1:04pm in #Trump #black lives matter #police #clinton2016

"Some of you watched with amusement as I endorsed Hillary Clinton for my personal safety. What you might not know is that I was completely serious. I was getting a lot of direct and indirect death threats for writing about Trump’s powers of persuasion, and I made all of that go away by endorsing Clinton. People don’t care why I am on their side. They only care that I am.

You might have found it funny that I endorsed Clinton for my personal safety. But it was only funny by coincidence. I did it for personal safety, and apparently it is working. Where I live, in California, it is not safe to be seen as supportive of anything Trump says or does. So I fixed that.

Again, I’m completely serious about the safety issue. Writing about Trump ended my speaking career, and has already reduced my income by about 40%, as far as I can tell. But I’m in less physical danger than I was.

If you didn’t believe me that I endorsed Clinton for my safety, perhaps the recent shooting of police officers changed your mind. That’s the sort of tragedy you expect to happen when Team Clinton frames the national debate as a race war.

Let me give you an example of how Clinton and her supporters in the media have pushed us to the brink of a race war. This article in the Washington Post tells us that although cops kill more whites than African-Americans, we still have a police racism problem because blacks are killed in greater proportion to their relative population. That’s all true, as far as I can tell.

But what got left out?

Well, for one thing, it doesn’t address the fact that most police shootings happen in high-crime areas (I assume). And high crime areas in the United States often have high concentrations of African-American citizens. If the police accidentally shoot someone in my neighborhood, the victim will almost certainly be white, Asian, or Indian, because that’s who lives here. But if police accidentally shoot someone in a predominantly African-American neighborhood with a high crime rate, the odds are high that it will be an African-American victim. Does that tell us anything about racism?"

Hey, maybe it also tells us something about the polls.

And that itself is racist. Why might there be higher crime (the writer assumed) in African American neighbourhoods? And what non-violent community solutions are being done to help? And where do the resources come from if they have less in those neighbourhoods?

Team Clinton did not frame this as a race war. She is not responsible for that. The right wing disinformation media and Trump are (last election they said the dems waging class warfare against the rich - for crying out loud can't you spot their tricks?).There's been a race war propagated and paid for by Trump ever since Obama took office and Trump and the Tea Party and Birthers and Fox etc pushed those lies incessantly to ensure that peoples' racist tendencies would be confirmed and validated, as the alt right in America built up their loyal fans.

@Kimmio I guess we will just have to wait and see how it all turns out. You have given me some things to contemplate and contemplate them I will. But now, I am going to watch the Alex Jones Show - because - believe it or not - I find it relaxing - sometimes so relaxing that I fall asleep 5 minutes into it - different strokes for different folks.

Say look. Here's a CNN article dated today discussing a recent poll showing... Donald Trump now in the lead. http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/06/_politics-zone-injection/trump-vs-clinton-presidential-polls-election-2016/index.html

Trump is a lead betta ... I suspect he could sink something ... including the active in accepting any line of power ...

I watch passively doing nothing but dropping a line of observation about virtues I can't see in the system ...

They must be out there ... perhaps right under my fete ... poe Mice ole ...
