I think that would have been General Eisenhower, back in the 50's. He seemed to have a much better handle on things, and a much better grasp of what his job was, than does the current non-politician inhabiting the Oval Office.

The modern Centurion in the light of how he observed things of war and the destruction related ... lo' ... father they know not!

Furthermore they will not look, listen, or speak of their enigma ... thus the three numb-Ayes! A forth is popping out ... complete the 4 horsemen theme ... a conspiracy?

CS Lewis declared that all stories, myths and other mystiques were based on past scripture ... it does flo-eon ... many are fixed against such movements ... stone-walled!

Neither have we.

I wouldn't bet my Po' on that conclusion ... there is much fey materialism ... flighty ... as those images of $ on Eire ... they do go ... poverty descends not wealth! So much for the drip hypothesis ... theosophy? Even the wise men are gone ... power despises thinkers ... 300 of them in the Roman hills as white elephants in the ET rus kahn theme ...

How was that assembled ... questionable ... skeptic ulcers? Ulster is still in Eire ... somewhere over the rainbow with ET! Blue B' oids ... bloop, or GOB's?

Stinking matters ...

And, well, he did play a major role in the Allies winning WWII, a leadership effort that probably made being POTUS look easy by comparison. I don't think Don's business experience is anywhere near to being in that league.

Is a Prime Concern not close to a precedent? These can be placed in a pot by powerful business economics driven by avarice and little alternate considerations ...

What occurs when one opens up the mysterious thing called mined ... hollowed out grail ... Sacred?

On the one hand, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US Army makes certain amount of sense in that country. OTOH, for a country supposedly dealing with economic hardship to spend tens of millions (the last time this was discussed, the budget was estimated at US$92m) on a freakin' parade is insanity. But that seems to be order of the day in Washington anymore.

And the kicker? The day of the Army anniversary is June 14, which also happens to be the birthday of the POTUS. So he gets a parade on his birthday but sufficient deniability if people start complaining about celebrating his birthday with a big, expensive parade.

Apparently, he has wanted to do something like this since being in Paris for Bastille Day back in his first term.

DOGE: TARGET ACQUIRED! POTUS RECLASSIFIED AS GOVERNMENT WASTE

Trump continues to dig his own grave, until even the last idiot sees his narcissism.
His base will love this. It gets liberals mad. That's the goal.

This stopped being about what is appropriate or in good taste long ago. There are no rules for this group. None. It's like a group if grade 5 boys given immense power and a desire for retribution.

This is what Americans (most of them Christians, btw) voted for. A plurality of voters wanted this. Now they have it.

Pope Don does have a nice ring to it and it's not like the papacy hasn't had its fair share of rich loons in the role. The Borgias come immediately to mind. Apparently the currently Swiss Guard uniforms are still in Borgia colours, or so one of the articles I read about the funeral mentioned.

I recall years back when Air Farce was on CBC TV, Jean Chrétien, Sheila Copps, Preston Manning, and Jean Charet all appeared at some time or other, gently poking fun at themselves, or each other. I cannot imagine Mr. TRump doing anything like that, can you?

One could say the joke is on them or the satyr backfired ...

Then of course there is the blind sense of God if you close your eyes and look into the dark place ... what a late acquaintance (psychologist) told me is a shadowy indication of psychopathy ... I don't know this stuff but admit these scholars do. Then authority hates scholars and thinking entities ... under the auspices that knowledge is evil ... making the entire body of humanity lean that way ... ignorance thus creeps up as chimera ... a form of madness! May resemble ... oh, what do you call them?

Can these not be named or spoken of ...
