Vancouver area Wondergathering Sunday June 29

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

I wouldn't even mind if you were in your pj's, Pinga! Looking forward to seeing you next weekend.

Yuppers Pinga, if you ever feel overwhelmed during our meet (the locals are good at looking to the future, not so good at looking to the past), you can always hang onto my tail :3

woohoo... I am flying out tonight. Packing is done. Carryon is ready (well, almost but close).
Tasks are done at home.

Looking forward to a few days with friends in Vancouver and surrounds, then a fabulous trip with Tabitha and meeting more new folks.

Happy travels pinga! I can see you at the gathering - pjs & pfd! paddle in hand to dip into the salads & pass the bread!

Sounds like you will all have a great time - I hope there might be group photo??

Carolla,

no problem -- just be sure to give us your Credit Card #, your SIN, your favourite colour, a short rendition of 'Edmund Fitzgerald' aaaand the King of Narobia would also like to see you...;3

Important information for those gathering in Vancouver on Sunday: the weather forecast isn’t great – a chance of showers and cool – so unfortunately having a picnic at the beach isn’t going to be ideal. We have made the decision to move the wondergathering to a restaurant and have made a reservation at Brown’s Social House Restaurant at 3651 W. 10th Ave at the NE corner of 10th and Alma (in the little mini mall – near 7-11).

The service at Dunbar Heights UC is at 10 am (until about 11:15 am). I have made the reservation at Brown’s Social House for 11:45 under ‘wondercafe’. For those going to the service, it’s quite straightforward to get from the church to the restaurant.

A number of bus routes stop at 10th and Alma, including the #99 B Line, #7, #9, #14, or #32. There is also parking in the mini mall lot or on neighbouring streets.

If going to a restaurant, rather than having a picnic, is going to be a financial challenge, please talk to me privately. I do not want cost to be a factor in someone not being able to attend.

I wish the weather was better for Pinga's visit to this area, but we'll enjoy our wondergathering regardless.

i'm glad the weather here is going to be nice for Sunday. in fact, it is byootiful right now -- overcast & cool -- toronto can keep its incandescent muggy heat

btw, all local foodies -- its busker fest in downtown -- my father says that parts of some streets are cut off and FOOD CARTS are out in force
