I thought it was cancelled, it seems like a long time since I've seen it. I just saw it being advertised though. I guess it's just a summer series.

Has anyone else watched it?

I watched a couple of episodes - and found it wasn't for me. Yes - it seems like it's a summer show. Do you like it?

I did enjoy the first few episodes more than the later ones. I preferred to watch how the human element played out rather than the supernatural one. I don't even remember if I saw the last few ones. I think I'll try to find the season finale to catch up/remind myself and at least try to catch the first few this season to see if I like where it's going.

This is the type of show I would prefer to watch on netflix, not waiting a week between episodes.

Netflix is wonderful. I don't want to set my PVR for everything and manage it like a file folder. Just sit down, stream a show whenever I want, not worry about saving it, and no commercials. Perfect.

I only saw an episode or two last summer before work and life happened and I lost track. Read the book this series is based on though and it was fantastic.

Just a reminder, it's on tonight!

I should read the book, I bet it's better than the show.

The book is great. I read it a couple of years ago. I've read almost all the post 1990 Stephen King books.

See, 1990 is about when I gave up on him (maybe a bit earlier). The only post-1990 King I've read is the Dark Tower series up to book 4 or so.

I watched the first three minutes of the season two premier last night - not that I really understood any of it.

Which is funny, because The Dark Tower series are the only ones that I haven't read.

It's rather different King in some ways and really worth a read (I do mean to finish it some day). Some of the same sensibilities and some crossovers with other King "universes" (e.g. Randall Flagg from The Stand shows up) but it's also an epic fantasy with western and s-f elements which tends to give it a different flavour from, say, the Castle Rock novels that are mostly straight-up horror.

I forget from the thread where we discussed him on WC: have you read Joe Hill (Joseph King's nom de plume) yet? I keep hearing that he is as good as, or maybe better than, his Dad.

I LOVE that series -- very spiritual and deep. His Great Work in a big way, tying together all his other works. King is very fortunate that he has this ability to view these places and be able to write aboot it.

one of the scariest moments in the books for me was the fellowship under the mountain with Dandelo :3

and my roomie & i cried when
Father Callahan dies

thankee sai to Stephen King

its got yer aliens in it, so, no surprise here that you like it :3
The alien causing the Dome
was like the same alien at the end of Men in Black, a mere child playing with a humanity like ants behind a glass. It gives one perspective to how consciousness in the universe could be very big and very sentient.

I caught one of the episodes I missed online today. It said I had to view with commercials, but as a nice surprise there weren't any. I got a bit bored and feel asleep - although some of that was due to the smoke here.
