I just watched his doctor give a press conference. He said the president is doing very well and commented that he feels like he could walk out of there. (Of course he does. He's made of Teflon.) ...anyway, he says they're giving him the very best care, a multi-pronged approach. There's a WH floor of the hospital apparently (reserved for those high level in WH I guess). He's getting this extra attention because he's POTUS. That's to be expected. They'd absolutely be doing that for any president, like him or not.

The weird thing was that the doctor wouldn't commit to saying if Trump was ever on oxygen. He skipped answering the question several times. That means he must've been on oxygen at some point. I'm not sure why that matters. They'd be giving him everything he needs and asks for. He's not a regular patient. Even if he just had a panic attack or something they'd give him oxygen (if it's even possible for him to have one - but I suspect he was privately worried and stressed) - even if he just said "give me some oxygen!". It wouldn't hurt him I don't think.

Sounds like the medical team is working around the clock so Trump can say "it was just like a cold" (and spin that) whereas, certainly not everyone at his age or weight could say that.

So he was on oxygen before he was admitted to hospital but apparently isn't at this point. Last report from his doctor was contradictory. "He's doing well." and "concerning vitals". Anyone's guess.

When did they say he was on oxygen? Who said it? The press conference I saw - the doctor wouldn't commit to a comment on it. They said Wed Thurs and Friday he was not on oxygen, I thought. But he wouldn't say whether he was ever on oxygen after falling ill.

So he had some symptoms the past few days and now he's being well looked after in a good hospital, and tweeted that he's feeling well. Nothing else to say, unless that changes.

Exactly. He's getting lots of attention. He loves attention. Maybe he's enjoying the constant attention in the hospital. He'll be cheered when he walks out. Then he'll say it's a little flu - if it isn't that bad for him it isn't that bad for anyone - and say "open everything up!" Despite those who aren't able to get the attention he's getting because they don't have the healthcare coverage or ability to quarantine as easily and safely as him. And he'll stick to his position on masks because , "hey, he got it and he's ok" and he can't comprehend how anyone feels besides himself.
