Waterfall - read your own definition of socialism. Also bear in mind the reasons for it - and its origins in Christian thought.
And then tell me how an economy based on gross imbalance and greed and self-interest is possibly compatible with Christianity. note that for a half century, the leading figures of socialism in Canada were Christian clergy. capitalism is profoundly anti-Christian. It is harminig people not only in Canada and the U.S., but killing them all over the world.
A person who cannot see that is like those people who thought how Christian it was for Cardinal Spellman to bless bombs that were to be dropped on Cuba. or perhaps people whose sense of Christianity consists of singiing Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
Kimmio - there are laws in effect in the U.S. which make it possible to deny the vote to groups one party doesn't like - such as Blacks. It is law. It has been used routinely. There is a law which makes it possible for international corporations to give unlimited sums of money to U.S. political parties. UNLIMITED. And no need to report it. that's why Hillary has such an enormous campaign fund. This is probably the most expensive election in world history. There was no way a Bernie Sanders could get that kind of money. Corruption in the vote count has been a feature of elections since the introduction of voting machines. There has ALWAYS been rigging of American elections. We don't have to wait to see if it's going to happen.
Hillary is bad but the best choice? You don't mind that she has been a major player in the murders of huge numbers of people in the last eight years? Better the devil you know? - the one who has helped in the massive drownings of refugees, of massive deaths caused by enforced starvation and exposure?
Kimmio, there's no candidate who is less evil than the other. it's over. a whole world that was imaginary in the first place is gone. There is no evil and a not so evil. It's a disaster no matter who wins.
By the way, their economic policies are based on pure fiction and false numbers from the government. Unemployment is not 5%. It's far, far worse. The economy is not recovering. It is failing. The homeless are not vanishing. They are multiiplying. There is no prosperity of home ownership. In fact, it's at the lowest level in a quarter century. Incomes are not rising.
And everybody, including us, is going to pay one hell of a price for that.
