TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Thing is, when you mock Christianity, the one you're pitting yourself against is the Holy Spirit...

Thing is
There is no such animal as The Christianity?
Christianity is a social game made up of many different people with varying experiences that some of them might call Christianity
It is an agreement a social contract of sorts among sombunall human beings
Witness PM's fine thread trying to get us Christians to think of our personal experiences and then to really think how and in which way we may project this as 'Christianity'?
Chansen is pointing out to Kimmio how she isnt applying the same standards to her Christianity* and Trump as she applies to say atheists...factz exist independently of how we lable them...g_d isnt a Christian...
Even if there were The Christianity it couldnt be mocked...remember how you think its alright to hate the sin but love the sinner hmm?
Own your feelings and emotions and dont project them on the HG the old dead jew or JHVH...they can handle themselves quite rightly...
Solemnity and its enshrinement in various blasphemy and hate crime laws are just attempts at foisting off ones feelings onto some outside force and encourages scapegoating
And so it goes
*again Kimmio aptly demonstrates Scott Adams' moist robot hypothesis...we decide based on feelings first n then use confirmtion bias to find support for thosr feelings...bless both Kimmio n chansen for continuing esp chansen for continuing to try for dialogue n humility and to lighten the mood

Obviously, our politics has gotten boring since the election. There's been more activity on this thread than on anything to do with political goings on in this country.

Isn't polity a'Muse 'n? Sort of like religion if you look into the deeps of it ... adepts are not welcomed in church ... fundamental or other wise ... too aesthetic?

Jae .... I find it rather perplexing you support Donald Trump.
He has the most unchristian stance and policies ever seen in an American presidential election.
I would be very interested in hearing how you reconcile that with your faith.

For one thing RitaTG, I guess it would depend on how you're defining "unchrisitan." Donald Trump's done a lot over the course of his life to help other people of all races, genders, ages, levels of ability, etc. He himself is a Christian, albeit a recent convert according to James Dobson. What I would most like to see happen is that the Republicans win, Trump stays for a brief time in office, then Trump resigns and Mike Pence becomes President. I am quite impressed with Pence.

....good grief ......... and have you even checked Mike Pence through your faith lens?
As for Donald Trump helping so many .......... no...........
And lets get to the heart of things .... what of his policies and attitudes towards others?
That was the heart and focus of my question to you in the first place.
I do hope you are not afraid to share your thoughts directly.

Absolutely, and I like what I've seen. He's a man of faith above all.

Trump wants to make America great again for Americans. Hard to criticize him for that. Now, I'm aware that the liberal media has sought to smear him in all kinds of ways, but dismissing that due to their bias, I see him as a true American willing and able to fight for true Americans. He's the right candidate at this time.

Thank you for your reply .... that helps me understand your faith lens.

It's a song that's supposed to make fun of racists... Thing is, Trump's already a real life parody ... Which is both interesting and terrifying. South Park's creators have been making satire about common ignorances for ages, and it didn't derail the problem (@chansen mocking doesn't change anything it only gives people who get the joke an an outlet to laugh at the absurdity it points to) ...Trump's target audience - people who really think like that - is far more than I ever thought really existed.

I was thinking the other day... Eric Cartman came to mind and I thought, "That'sTrump! And he hasn't stopped acting like an obnoxious kid!" ... "Respect my authoritah!" :ROFLMAO::cry:

Then the Waterpark song came to mind. It may be inappropriate to post.

Here's Matt Stone's commentary about the difference between their satire/ comedy and what Trump is doing.

I'm wondering though, do you think characters like the over the top depictions in South Park encourage Trump "fans" since they got to know both from TV land? Are shows like South Park, in a place where there's an education void - part of the problem? The offensive shows don't change the problem. Do they contribute to it - do some people take it as permission to behave badly or vote for a real life person who does?
