TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

In Canada, on Saturday, there was a peaceful demonstration whereby 4000 anti-racist protesters showed up to outnumber a small group of far right racists. It was a handful of the far right ones who got arrested for causing trouble - including a man who gave a nazi salute. And that difference in outcome is because of our limits on free speech. Nobody on the left was violent - and it's less likely, because law enforcement is particularly keeping an eye on the group that might engage in hate speech - and escorting them out if they're crossing the line.

That's not so say that far left anarchists with violent tactics never show up to Canadian protests to kick butts - that has happened in other cases - but minorities are protected by hate speech laws so maybe those on the far left don't feel the need to be vigilantes as much. And that's good because we don't want that here.

At any rate...looking at the outcomes of the two different laws in Canada and the US, I think ours are better.

I think we have somewhat better moral sensibilities in Canada (still). Somebody like Trump would never be PM. We have too many gate keeping mechanisms for that to happen, imo. He would not make it past debates, he would never be elected party leader, and with his published views on women and minorities he probably wouldn't even be allowed to serve as an MP after vetting. That's not to say our governments don't push bills through that have the outcome of marginalizing and oppressing people who are already more vulnerable. But they would not get elected on a platform of blatant bigotry with open support from white supremacists, with such loud and stunning audacity. I'm glad Harper lost in 2015 - we'd had enough - but Donald Trump, he was not.

The Mike Duffy scandal was probably the biggest one we'd seen in years. Donald Trump makes it seem trite by comparison.

Alison Redford, former Alberta premier, attempting to renovate a government building to include her own personal penthouse was pretty bad - that's a bit Trumpesque. But still not nearly as mind boggling as all the scandal surrounding Trump.

Marionettes: things that do the dance that simulates drag-on ... as ongoing squirm? Folk that can't get it all together ... reminds me of yesterdays CBC commentary on two spirits ... archaically, or aboriginally ... the primal forms in debate about put down my modernist authority ... in absence of lesser myth o' logics ... the Minas case ...

Without dual puppets could there be discourse ... during unionization that both ends (of the politic) fear? There is even a battle to stave off a great gathering power .. thus god is out of it in this case ... possibly due to governing exclusionism ... in protection of war industry ...

Industry before peoples ... and thus the lesser or losing portions ... hard to resolve in reality ... in the imaginary glan did a simple Pragmatic ... or thus reality excludes the Utopian mine ... only a BH ... or collapse of the expansionist?

As much as I personally agree with you Kimmio, I feel that just a few years ago a lot of Americans would have said there's no way someone like Trump would ever be President. So here in Canada we have to be ever vigilant.

"Just one question: Why? Really. Why? Think about it!"

Curios to say think when so many theologies say go it on heart and emotions alone ... thus thoughts and intelligence are beyond ... anon? Is it coming?

a·non
əˈnän/
adverb
archaic
adverb: anon
  1. soon; shortly.
    "I'll see you anon"

Alas tis an old archaic convention ... thus it presently isn't!

Tis a convention with those denying the magic of being cognizant of history ... that which is significant Passover ...

It varies depending on perspective of time ... some just don't believe it ... tis alien ...

Stuff that would crank some people, Jack ... and leave them Jill-Ted ... similar to jill-poked ... when the cross tree connecting the team lets go ... could leave you speechless or horseless ...

Literal variant or not ...

Could you be more precise? I am actually aware of very few theologies that "say go it on heart and emotions alone." I assume that God created us as thinking beings and therefore intends that we think.

Complimenting the polices forces may not be enough. He may actually need to pay them - especially his own. It's funny/ ironic.

How much longer before Trump supporters feel ripped off?
