The world of words as God is an example of such conflicts and intransigence even though in time words deteriorate ... do some investigation on classic tongues as of old! What may be uncovered can be disorderly, thus part and parcel of character disturbance or personality disorder ... just meant to be as being is ... epistemology! Past tense ... "was"! It don't be any more ... washed out the portal of awareness for those astute to it ... other are not WOKE yet-eh!

Degrade to yeti ... having a profound meaning ... such understanding lies deep in the hills ... and mortals are very wrinkled and folded ... crooked folk from my mind's view ... many loch up their minds in dark places so they cannot be observed ... resemble bone boxes ... there myths may be inscribed on the pith and marrow ...

My entry in the StoriesSpace Summer Love competition is up. It's about a cat with a bit of an agenda. Enjoy.

This was the other story I had as a possibility for the comp above. However, it just did not feel quite "right" at 1000 words and I had done a story set in the world of metal music for another comp not that long ago so wasn't sure going back to that well was a good idea. So, this one got some more work and is now up. It's about a cellist who gets an offer from a metal singer...

And the title, if you're wondering, is a play on "Heavy Metal Love", a track by the Canadian metal band Helix from their heyday in the eighties. The band started in my birthplace, Kitchener, Ontario, and were in heavy (hah hah) rotation on Muchmusic and music video shows on other channels for a time.

And here's a post I did on the StoriesSpace forums with some example of cellos in metal and talking a bit about the musical roots of the story.
