First bowl is a bit creepy. Which means, of course, it gets a from me.

Wasn't able to do what i originally planned so had to come up with something else.

I actually like the "creepy bowl" as Mendalla calls it. It looks like an eye in the middle of the universe to me.

It actually reminds me of the "evil eye" protection amulets of Portugal. My sister-in-law got me one on a visit there a few years ago, and gave it to me, rather reluctantly, actually. Odd thing was, it was just a cheap-ish bead on a safety pin, I pinned it to the pocket of my jeans, and I'd lost it before I got home. I figure someone needed it more than I...

Your bowls are very interesting BethAnn. Not sure I could say I prefer one over the other actually. I too grew up knowing that I wasn't artistic - but I now make things that others admire. Part of that scenario comes, I think, from limiting the types of creation kids are introduced to. For me it was pretty much drawing, painting, crayons. That type of creativity still isn't 'my thing'. Am enjoying making quilts and fabric landscapes though.

I told my niece I should have her art teacher give me some lessons...niece is only in Gr. 1 and has been exposed to more art forms and mediums than I have been in my entire life!

I enjoy looking at it, but am not quite into making it - that may change in the future but I'm into other forms of creativity right now.

And everyone is at different stages depending on how long they've been creating and how much time they can devote to it.
