Ever notice the kudos men receive for being active in the kitchen? Do you know any marriage where the wife cooks and the husband cleans the house? And if so, how much is this contribution valued?
I love to cook actually but since my wife retired 2 yrs ago she's been doing more than I

Romans 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews, who were in prison with me. They are highly respected among the apostles and became followers of Christ before I did.

the big argument of whether Junia was a boy or a girl, some Bible versions have Junias a boy, but most translate it as Junia a Girl

in my view, as most, Junia is a woman, which would fit with scripture and how God views us in Christ.

Who was Junias? He was a man who was related to Paul and was at one time his fellow-prisoner. He was of note, distinguished and highly respected. He'd been in Christ before Paul, had been converted in the Church's early days, before Jesus had called Paul.

That's one view, Juina is the other translation a woman

Early along the way I heard Jesus speak about searching the scripture. He encouraged it. Why? Those who wrestle with scripture, as Jacob wrestled with the angel, will be blessed by the revelation of the living Christ.

Those who take the Bible to be the living word of God are idolaters.

Jae ---your quote -------
Jesus had female missionaries but his closest missionaries his 12, the apostles, were all men. As was the 13th apostle Matthias, and the 14th apostle Paul. This set a pattern for how things should be arranged in the Church today. There are leadership positions that should be available to women but the pastorate (pastors, ministers, priests) should be comprised solely of men.

unsafe says ----
If your using 1Timothy 2:11-12 as your scripture here Jae ---you need to really research this passage well ---it is not saying what you think it is saying about women not being able to pastors ----- 1Timothy 1 gives the background for Paul writing the letter to Timothy as there is False Teaching going on in the church in Ephesus-----

I think you will see your wrongly dividing the word here ------if you do thorough research on it ----

That said: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the follower of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
