Can't Cia ... the thing that is different ... regardez vous? Nah don't want to ... thus Miss Understood ... again pure semantic memory ... stuff lost (abstraction)!
Reading into some strange things can extend the notion of everything as an unknown god ...
Of course if reading is restricted ... one learns nothing new ... sa' mould ...
Thanks Luce. I'll wait for @Northwind's response.
Actually DaisyJane, women can hold key roles of authority in complementarian churches. My church in Toronto currently has two Deacons, one of whom is female. Since we have only one Elder, the Senior Pastor, the Deacons are second in leadership.
But we both know that when it comes to real positions of authority they are only held by men in such churches.
Nope. Because in the end the final authority will always remain out of reach to women.
Possibly read it. My understanding is that whether this is myth or true this was a story that existed for women that possibly helped them rise above the patriarchy of the early church in their day. To lift them up and to reclaim their worth as equals. What would you have me do with that Wikipedia article?
I repeat. We will have to agree to disagree.
Adam was created first, then Eve. The priority of Adam’s creation's a testimony for God's order that the man should lead and rule. God made woman as a helper for man, women's subordination was set even before the Fall.
Woman as blame bearer stands near the heart of patriarchal dominance. This is clear in the thinking of Augustine and the practice of institutional Christianity. As soon as Eve, the weaker vessel, was present with Adam, Satan made his attack. Eve was overcome by Satan's deception; she fell into Satan's trap and then persuaded Adam to join her in the transgression.
With this reasoning you must believe you are inferior to the animals created before man.
I'd take an octopus or a humpback whale over Jae any day...
Of course you don't.....do you need a woman to explain it to you or a man?Don't know where you're picking up "inferior" from Waterfall.
