Still funny after all these years....still laughing!

Too bad it's about the only funny thing he's done since leaving In Living Colour. Sorry, I gave up on the guy after his idiotic turn as The Riddler in Batman Forever (admittedly, the whole film was a trainwreck, but his portrayal didn't help).

Also, I think you should not give up on Jim Carrey. I think he has a whole bunch more to give. I knew him as a teenager. His commitment to moving forward as a human has always blown me away.

Oh, I may give The Truman Show a shot someday. Heard good things about it so maybe it will revive my interest in the guy. But, for the most part, he has struck me as a one note comic and it's not a note I feel like listening to most of the time. However, nothing he has done is anywhere near the top of my heap of stuff to watch even leaving out my dislike of Carrey himself.

Oh yeah, living colour...almost forgot about that, loved it. I tend to agree with your post.

Mendalla, that's a bit strange, your reaction to Carrey. You and I often share likes/dislikes to a degree. I have met Jim in person, as a young man, and liked him a great deal. Did you watch the Netflix "Jim and Andy"? I first saw him as an impersonator in a comedy club. He has an almost supernatural ability to see inside a personality.

Jim Carry is talented. The Truman Show was a great movie...pre-reality TV, so kind of prophetic. And his performance in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was excellent (co-starring Kate Winslet who was also excellent)...proving he can do serious roles, too.

Forgot about Eternal... . Another one on my "to see" list but not because of him. It's a Charlie Kaufman flick and I keep hearing great things about him.

I don't like Adam Sandler but loved Spanglish. The Truman Show is my Jim Carrey equivalent.
oh neet
havent heard of Spanglish
Punch Drunk Love was the movie that opened up my prejudice on Adam Sandler, put the rest of his movies into context and made me appreciate him more
