Did you know that you shouldn't drink milk after eating chokecherries. They will choke you.

lol I haven't heard that one before. Any ideas how that myth originated?

I don't think it is a myth. I think milk and chokecherries together causes a phelem like substance that shuts off your throat.

btw, the blackberry crop here is the best i have seen in my lifetime

so many of them

they are still fruiting -- lots more green fruit

when my sweetie & i were in Ladysmith, a bunch of us raided and denuded some bushes

not before i tried leaping down a ditch, thinking i was still 20-something, and tripping and falling and dumping 1/2 of my take

i have never eaten so many blackberries in so many different ways

the berries, when plucked off the vine, taste just like blackberry pie

and some of the vines look Hollywood big -- 3 " across or more?
