Families rush into town unknown and yet people demand there are no sacred organizations ...
I say hoers hit ... a black beauty ast adidas or an unknown of things we don't know and there is a theory that it is not things you know will kill yah .. but things yah don't know ... alas authority says you shouldn't know much of what they doo ... and thus dark s**t ... coloured St.?

Popping in for a moment. Sad to hear about the struggles with your family Pinga. Not fair. Especially when they are digging back 20 plus years to something that may or may not have happened the way they think it did. Better to focus on the present: the cousins who would benefit from a fun family gathering and the grandpa who would savour time spent watching his family get together. You are a person who works diligently to include people. To hear that you are being excluded is so unfair. I am really sorry to hear that this is happening to you.

Pinga - I didn't mean to sound as if I was disagreeing with your posting about exclusion. I too share some things sometimes and I believe we all have some weird stuff within our family dynamics. This time round I didn't feel like sharing a similar situation from my own history. Sending a cyber hug.

Someone once shared a family situation with me that sounded like a heartbreaker. A close knit family that delighted in regular get togethers had one member who knowingly decided to marry a convicted child abuser (sexual). This person didn't have kids - but just about everyone else had kids/grandkids of one or other age. Really tough situation every holiday and special event like weddings/funerals. Discussions had to happen - will the kids be at a certain event? Should the partner be excluded? How to explain to youngsters that 'this' relative isn't trustworthy? How do you guard them without scaring them?

Wow - it seems I opened the door to this room first today. That means I can set out some goodies for your enjoyment. Yesterday I made some cheese and onion buns (like cinnamon buns with a savoury filling) they are on the table waiting for you. I prefer them warmed a bit in the microwave and have set out some fresh farm-made butter too. This morning's juice is raspberry.

Here's some of the tea I picked up last week and a new kettle. Vinyl Cafe is a straight blend of black teas, Sunday Tea has a hint of vanilla. Enjoy.

For those who prefer - I'm quickly rushing in some coffee!

Maple coffee, sugar cookie coffee, chocolate mint coffee - all fair trade.

Chemguy agreed to getting most of the Christmas decorations done this weekend. Originally he told me first weekend in Dec but I got him to push it up to the weekend when Advent starts.
He surprised me by setting up the tree right away, before I was out of bed. It's nice having everything up. We got the tree we used while living in the apartment up on the mantle of the fireplace too. I thought it was too big, but Chemguy was right, it looks great!

I'm really enjoying this change. Usually I have to nag to get him to do the things I can't/shouldn't do. He's done most with little prompting. Staying in the city (sister is ok with it now) for Christmas really is a nice change.

Cat on a haute in rouffe ... possibly an idiot crossing a frosty roof barefoot in the chilly west! Odd what man will do for a rye incarnation ...

Good morning, or almost afternoon in Eastern TimeZone.

It is a bright blue day here, a bit chilly but a nice day.
Grey cup will be n tv, so a sports day at our house.

I'm not sure what my focus will be today, maybe I will try some baking. I owe seeing my Dad, but may suggest tomorrow instead when restaurants are less busy, or just drive him to an event tonight.

Thinking of people starting their Advent preparation. What are you doing to prepare for the season, both commercial and religious

Prepping for ski season, mostly. A growing Claire has new boots. Zach has a new blanket courtesy of Tabitha, and I'm busy trying to get the house ready for us not being here over any weekend until April.

Zach is becoming more and more awesome He looks around, his head and trunk control are ever improving, and he has terrific facial expressions for every new life experience.

I have great hopes of getting my house back to some level of hygiene and tidiness before Christmas; at some point my daughter will get disgusted with me, dig out the tree, put it up and decorate it. Those are my Advent plans. Busy, busy, busy month at the church - I'll be there more than here, anyway, lol.

Well, after church today I vacuumed my car & put in the winter mats ... not exactly Xmasy, but seasonal!

@chansen - nice to hear a little about Zach ... and how lovely to receive such a thoughtful and personal gift from Tabitha :-) It will be interesting to see how Claire takes to racing this season.

I'm a bit stuck at the computer ... wanting to clip some youtube video into a powerpoint presentation for work; I thought I had it all sorted out last weekend (felt like a great coup!) but it wouldn't run on the system at work ... GRRR ... looking for options ....
