I remember the day Pinga mentioned that story, because it was, probably not coincidentally, a similar time frame to when I found myself at work after lunch wearing two Birkenstocks, a navy one and a green one, different strap patterns...
 
My Lucy (the hound mutt) is a terrible shoe thief at present. She has learned not to chew them, she has learned not to touch them if they're properly on the shoe rack; beyond that she/we need some work (and I found a slipper next to a composter last week). I often stare into the front hall in irritated amusement to see six different left footed sandals...
 
Left behind sinned Rome ... and all we have is powerful republicans?

Shoe sign of deviates from common concerns ... isolated concerns about sel-feys ...
 
I had a very long nap yesterday. Now I'm up very early, not sure if I slept enough to get me through today without more napping though.

Luckily I have no huge plans for the weekend. Clean up the stuff remaining from the shower (I am on a coffee table that still has a shower-themed table cloth). It's time to end some things in the garden. Maybe purchase some garlic to plant later.

You're on a coffee table ChemGal? What a strange position to be in. Can't imagine it's too comfortable. Personally I'm still lying in bed. I'll spend today in school work - readings and reflections.
 
The story of Inanna in ancient eastern myth says that Inanna went through great process to get on the king's lap ... the things done to wrap the monarchs thinking and belief system ... overall BS ... or scattered fecundity ...
 
Luce - your use of the word "Inanna" makes me miss our poster by the same name. I think he's just away, house-sitting at the moment ... and I imagine we'll see him back soon.
 
I've been waiting for rain ... it's not arriving! It rained almost steadily all last weekend, but my garden soil is still surprisingly dry - part of the consequence of having many large trees around I guess. So I must go water a few things, then off to the market.

Later I think it may be time to start digging & preparing some of my plants for the move indoors - and that will necessitate finding space for them too! I just have a few things that I overwinter inside, or take cuttings from to begin anew ... but they all have to be treated for possible insects before bringing them inside. Might be a good day to get onto that task ...

Tomorrow is 'bring a friend to church day' - so I also need to call a friend!

We're doing it next week, so I think it is more a "beginning of the church year" thing than a specific day thing. Though part of the reason we are doing it next week is that's the minister's service this month (she's quarter-time and only does 1 a month).
 
Friend ... would that be that be an applet to god an attachment to grow the Logos ... logic? Sounds to me like god talking to heh'self in an orchard ... so never-never make fun of a man talking to his-self in an orchard where there are applets ... like eve ... the Shadow that listens? Could this create a beauty of an imaginary fried like da-Veda's ... the more subtle side of the mind that's abstract ... or dark in hue ... like Toby ... we each have a dark spot under de face of it ... facetiae as forerunner to fascist?

When it comes to separating the sole from spiritual bean in the physical form the only way to comprehend it is through metaphysics!
 
Hah, haven't worn two different shoes for a bit, but, it's summer. Soon it will be fall, though, so the opportunity is.coming soon... dark mornings, enclosed shoes.... yup, it could be time.
 
I do it on the deck, that's about it. Flip flops air out the feet well AND protect from little pokey things, grass, etc.

Yes... but I could never get used to the little nubbly-nubbly thing between my big and second toe. I'm very sensitive in that kind of way.
