Sorry to hear that Pinga. We're here when you get the news, good or bad. What day is the biopsy?

The nice thing is that they don't mess around with those abnormal paps. It's standard procedure to rush right to the cone biopsy; I was in that situation a few years ago, and it was a false alarm, but the speed with which they scheduled the biopsy frightened me, too. Hugs and blessings for healing and good results.

*Bette puts out some homemade green pea hummus and some pita breads for lazy summer snacking. There's some 'sun' ice tea in the fridge with lemon just waiting to be poured over ice.* It's crazy hot here today; twas 20 already at 6 a.m. this morning.

Green pea hummus? Never heard of that. Always had it made with chick peas. Must try. *nom nom nom*

Which reminds me: Those in the K-W area who like Middle Eastern food should give Almadina Woodstone Oven & Grill on The Boardwalk in Waterloo a try. The shawarma is apparently great (per my family) and I liked the falafel. They also have Almadina Egyptian Cuisine near the universities which serves a smaller version of the same menu. We had a terrific get together there with some old school friends that I haven't seen in years (save one who came to the visitation for Dad last Fall).

Thanks for the support, friends.

Mendalla. Going to add that to my list of places to check out in Waterloo. I have a spa coupon for a place there, and plan to use it in August, so may see about meeting a friend for lunch.

ah Pinga it is worrisome. I had an abnormal pap 2 years ago. Diagnosis was fryable cervix. Full exam and culture of cells at gynecologist-and I got in right away. My GP sent me based on visual before results were even back from pap. Turns out no cancer just "fryable" cells.

Here's hoping for a clean result for you.

Sorry to hear about your struggles with weight and medical tests leading to the cancellation of an interesting trip Pinga. Don't apologise for sharing honestly in this place - it can offer understanding, caring, encouragement better than many other locales.

@Pinga I am so sorry to hear about these worries. People really underestimate the inconvenience of living with diabetes - I am sure you will handle it well though with your keen and well-organized mind.

I hope you get in soon for your biopsy - someone said the waiting is the worst and that is so true. I also know you have the strength to get through this.

I wish you really well.

My oldest stopped by for dinner last night with a gal he has dated 4 times. My youngest was here too. I kept it simple and casual but I really like her. One of the best he's brought home so far. She has a bit of spunk!
He had tried to visit the last 2 Sat. but I was away or busy. I called him Sun am before church. He was going to be in the area-paddling to the pictographs. I'm glad they were able to stop by.

Hit a sort of career milestone today. Had to send an announcement that one of my staff, who has been with us for 8 years, has resigned to go to another company. Just got finished hiring our third IT person, now we're back on the market. So it goes...

Wow - that's a big moment Tabitha! Are you doing anything special to mark the event?

we'll have cake and I'll take him out for dinner. He's requested some clothing for his gift and wants to shop with me-but lately he's been sleeping the days away. He is on anti depressants again so I hope they kick in soon.

Hoping the prospect of a shopping trip might help him get out of bed for a while. Hoping he feels better soon.

No-he did get up but after stores closed. I really think I might have to take him to the Drs. tomorrow. He's really down.

There is light in the morning. He got up before 8. He opened his birthday cards this morning. We have an errands trip planned-he needs to refill some meds. I told him I was worried and asked if he needed a doctors visit. He said he was ok. So we'll head out shortly.

Tabitha,so good that you can have that communication. Thinking of you with that concern. Is he up all night and sleeping all day?

thanks all-it's an ongoing issue-No Pinga he is not up all night-he's sleeping more than 12 hours a day and therefore not eating a lot. But anyhow today is better. We did some shopping for him and went out for lunch.

Well, that was an interesting day yesterday. First off, Mrs. M gets rear-ended at an intersection. She was stopped on a red so the other driver is at fault and our insurance will take care of everything. Car is still drivable which is a good thing because last night Little M wiped out on his bike about 5 or so km from home and I needed her car (a Honda CR-V) to get him because the bike won't fit in my Civic. He was banged up good (bruises, scrapes) but nothing broken and no head injuries (his head didn't even hit the ground apparently). Not the worst of days, but hardly the best.
