Chucked? What is the source of this world Charles ... other than it goes around ... like a mad dream ... a myth of sorts that's indeterminate as drawn from the drama of passion? Sacred and without thought, reason or any other logic but logos ...

That's the word as a floated that's poorly understood ... so folk won't know one side from the other ...
 
Good morning! How is everybody? Misunderstood friendship, flu and Covid shots this time of year, finishing up the clock reset, and a cat that won't be reset easily; these and whatever else comes up today will shape our conversation here at the Coffee Cart. We meet up once again to hat, to offer and receive moral support, to develop camaraderie, and to drink the and coffee, and enjoy the Wonderbaker's productions. Today the WB has baked up a lovely raspberry crumble for us to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the crumble is warm from the oven. All is ready, everybody is welcome! Come in and join the chat!

And continuous recycle that makes everything and nothing go round ... so that nothing is bound to return ... isn't that something? Some say spectacular from various perspectives ... Second's Sight? Flash in time ...
 
I probably need to look at my shots. I've been with my current doc almost 6 years and haven't had any shots beyond the annual ones (flu and C-19) and shingles. And I don't think I had any with my last doc in the last few years I was with him. I'm seeing him later in the month so I'll discuss with him.
 
I had to get my tube changed in October and another Scope done.....sooooo two different waiting rooms I believe contributing to contracting a bad flu....just coming out on the other side now. Not nice.
We also had a 300ft. tree come down after an F0 tornado back on August 8th....took a window out and balcony off the units above us and covered our patio door completely....eaves troughs were ripped off and then the mould came 3 weeks later...white mould...all over the furniture, clothes and floors. Contacted city hall, health Dept. and management and owners of the building and the eavestroughs weren't repaired until about 2 weeks ago....so of course rain continued to do damage. Bathroom floor was changed, some small areas of drywall fixed....I wanted the owners to pay for mould tests but they said they fixed all that was needed and if we wanted a mould test we could pay for it ourselves. ($1,500) We bought a dehumidifier ourselves.
I'm not really sure if I've been suffering from mould or flu or both....but haven't felt that great for a while.
Ah well.....
I still have to deal with my shots, sigh.
 
Mom’s funeral yesterday and burial today were truly beautiful. Can I say such a thing? But the world is out of whack. Cancelled flights, broken teeth, and now a washing machine that won’t work. (The last one is mine, the other two were nieces and a nephew). Plus electronics are glitching. It might take some time for our world to right itself.
 
Never rains but it pours, eh.

Working on testing an upgrade of one of our core systems at work and discovered it's going to be a three step process due to how far behind we are. Ugh. Means losing at least one day on a weekend. On the other hand, it will be in February where we don't tend to do much anyhow. F-ing thing is going away in probably 2-3 years, after we replace the other core system, but need to keep it in working trim until then.
 
Talking about electronics glitching- in several European countries hackers got into grocery store systems and hacked the deep freezers, making them heat instead of cool. Tons of food had to be thrown out. What a senseless thing to do…

It isn’t her time yet. She has a tumour growing on her thyroid which will eventually press on her throat - or she will have a heart attack or stroke from the high heart rate because of the hormones. Then it will be time. Or if she can’t hit the litter box anymore.
As long as she purrs, she still is not there yet.
 
Just to be 100% clear, while I was going for a throwing-cat-against-wall mental image, I wasn't suggesting you actually do it.

After the last one in France, the word in my world was that those freezers were poorly secured with default admin passwords. Frankly, they shouldn't be networked and if they are, then they need to be firewalled off from the Internet with access only through internal networks. I am going be interested what gaps these attacks exploited.

As I said to my wife, we may at the point where the government needs to mandate some kind of security certification and auditing for critical supply chains like food, not just for companies like mine storing private data. It is clear that there are security gaps being found and exploited.

Yes, the hackers are to blame, but they are not going away any time soon. There are solid, well-tested way of protecting devices and networks. We need to make sure that companies managing supply chains are using them.
