Two weeks ago, I had a fellow come over to help me prep the house for installation of two new window panes.

He fell off the ladder 10 minutes into it and had to be rushed to hospital before he passed out from the pain.

The windows are tucked away in the Garage and I have post-paned the windows installation till next spring.

All to avoid the pain of doing it without a helper who will be out of commission till then.

DIY jobs can't always be done within a window of time that is predictable.

Couldn't say I liked it as it is not nice news. Been caught in similar situations nature is bitter at times ... at us? You have to wonder at times but I think nature just wants to seed and grow and with her age ... seedy as archaic melon ...

Then I've was told I went to seed when a child ... just an old man early "pres" ... bitter 'n elle? Maybe that my associates weren't more gentle ... gentile? Itsa ll in the temple some are brutal heds and some are the other ... quite fay ...

Sounds paneful.

Good morning! Thursday is here. A day named in honour of Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. Fell free to make some noise today! We gather round the Coffee Cart once more for our conversations, mutual support, and camaraderie, over coffee tea, and goodies provided by the Wonderbaker. This morning, the WB has made cookies in various types for us to enjoy, as we chat about things old and new. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and cookies are warm from the oven. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come in and join the chats!

Let us draw on that like the self creating creator in "Drawing Hands" as MC Escher was suggesting to get hans, jans, or yans out of a pouch ... as if picking souls?

It happens ... like cards ...

The God of Thunder tripped and fell on hith own hammer. He had a thor leg for dayth.

Okay, with the b/dad jokes out of the way, we can get on with life. I am really loving this nice Fall weather. It can just keep going as far as I am concerned. Yeah, I have to scrape the windshield in the morning but I can also do my long, brisk walks without either freezing to death or looking like I was out in the rain since it's usually nicely in the mid-teens by the time I do them.

My schedule this week has been crazy busy -- in a good way.
Looking forward to seeing Guys and Dolls this afternoon at Stratford. Described as "as as a dazzling, high-energy masterpiece with standout choreography and magnetic lead performances"
Then, this evening, meeting a friend from Ottawa to see The Pairs & Tennyson King in Waterloo. Described as: The Pairs bring sibling harmonies and honest storytelling from their album Together on a Rock, while Tennyson King blends indie-folk with traditional Chinese influences in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. A warm night of folk music built on connection.

I would say that tomorrow I'll sleep, but I have an all day writing workshop. It's potluck and vegetarian is preferred, so need to get my thinking cap on

Highway 10 from Shelbourne through Owen Sound is full of Mennonites on buggies. It's downright scary how close people will go by horses, at speed. Families have been wiped out. I don't pass unless I can get a couple meters away, and I slow down to make that pass. I feel like the only one.

Southern Pennsylvania at night, same problem, no light on roadside or vehicles and crazy twisty roads. Terrifying.
