Whelp, almost time to drop the daughter at uni. She gets her apartment on Sept. 1 with classes a week later, but she wants the week to figure out meals and meet friends, which didn't truly happen last year in res.

She has met a girl at the mountain bike race series who is also entering second year at Waterloo (small world), and they want to try riding the Hydrocut trails in Waterloo, so now the mountain bike and related equipment needs to be packed. Yay. I'm glad she intends to stay active, though. She did spin class last fall term. This year she wants to try underwater hockey. I have no idea how that goes.

She intends to continue coaching alternate weekends in the winter, so that will keep her heart rate up through March.

I take the neighbour's boy to Mac for his first year on Saturday. He's a great kid. My wife and I helped with his supplemental application, and he's going to the school where we met, so that's also going to be a special day. We're hosting pizza night tonight.

Yeah, my son took his mountain bike to Ottawa with him. Rode it over to Gatineau to ride the trails in Gatineau Park. That's a great area for any kind of cycling. Now he's a runner and did his first half marathon a couple weeks ago.

He's been pretty good about staying active since he moved. Cycling, running, working out at a gym near his house (which is also near his workplace).

More like field hockey, I guess? No skates. Pucks are heavy enough to sink, I know. My swimming teachers used to sink them to get us to dive for them.

Nice weather here for the last couple days. Cut the grass Tuesday, had a long walk yesterday. I can handle this weather lasting a while.

That's an interesting place for doing a bike marathon. Good on her. I can barely ride right now. Not sure why. Seems to be more lack of motivation because my legs can handle a moderately intense 45 minute "ride" on my stationary.
 
Good morning! Friday is here. The weekend looms ahead. We take time today to gather round the Coffee Cart, for refreshment of body and spirit. We chat, offer and receive support, and connect with one another, and also drink coffee and tea, and enjoy the efforts of the Wonderbaker. This morning, the Wonderbaker found a bunch of frozen strawberries in the freezer, and wants to use them up. So, though it may be past the season for it, this morning we have strawberry shortcake to indulge in.
The coffee is freshbrewed, the tea water is boiling, and the shortcakes are ready to serve. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come in and share in the conversations!

Yum….strawberry shortcake! I have a couple of giant zucchinis so I will make a zucchini chocolate cake for tomorrow in honour of my daughter’s 35th birthday.

Yesterday my husband, with a little help from me, embarked on road building at our family’s shore property. Currently we use a trespass road to get in but we want a driveway to the right-of-way road. This has become more urgent because of some legal issues going on.

And now we'll come to know just how much of a wonder the Wonderbaker is - by how the shortcake is made - is it cake or biscuit
 
On Tuesday, the cat hat three episodes of panting, with a strange noise. Knowing that her days are numbered from her hyperthyroidism we can’t treat, I made an appointment for tomorrow, thinking this would be her last visit.
However, no more symptoms since, cat enjoying the sun in the catio, eats and purrs. Appointment canceled.
That was probably #7 of her nine lives….
 
Good morning! The weekend is here, time to get to whatever plans we have for it. Before we get started with that, we gather round the Coffee Cart, to talk over events and thoughts in our lives, like the cat's lives dwindling from 9 to 2, driveway construction, and all the rest. We gather to chat, to support, and to connect, as well as drink tea and coffee and enjoy the goodies provided by the Wonderbaker. Today we have churros to enjoy, with various dips and spreads, both sweet nd savoury.
The tea water is hot, coffee is freshbrewed, and churros ready to serve. All is ready, everybody is welcome. Come in and join the party!

Returning to the Strawberry Shortcake for just a moment, I'm one of the opinion that it should rightly be made using biscuit, not cake. I spent many summers in northern New Brunswick where it was always made with biscuit, so maybe it's a regional thing

Thus un region able to take it out of there ... like dark energy ... it is occult thought and can't be see from where you are in the great un knowing ... thus we unravel or disseminate! This is a sacred process to many that do not know what they are doing ... for good reason ... thus you shouldn't speak about your bis cuit ... as it dashes off tri ump ant in 3 parts ...

Word is like that a beginning, the other end and Mr In-be-tween jambe ... the position of attempting to relate sacred and occult ... both hidden! Goes on in the rear of the brae 'n ... a concern of Bri-A presenting as Anna ... ridiculous?

Maybe not as much as you believed considering how much is beyond your limit of belief ...

Imagine all the people that trust Trump as the only ONE! Why? That is difficult to address but many started out that way ... initiation into vaster concerns ... one step at a time dear alien ...
