Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! ow are you all? A tad cool here this morning, won't heat up much today; high is supposed to be 21. Looks like autumn is arriving. We gather round the Coffee Cart today to chat, to support, and to connect with one another. Coffee and tea will flow like water; the baked goodies will be good. Today the Wonderbaker has created for us blueberry pies to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and the pies are warm from the oven. All is ready, come and get it!

Love blueberry pies! Especially with ice cream

Feeling pretty crappy.

I pitched 4 garden trailers of cedar mulch between Friday and Saturday.

Muscles are fine , though I did get a workout.

My lungs though.
I didn't think to wear a mask

Ugh.

No voice last night, bad sleep, heightened heart rate.

Morning is finding me feeling like crap. Racking coughs.

And i am seeing the Tempest this afternoon. Damn

Cedar is prone to causing problems for many people . Hope you recover in time for the concert.

Hope you recover soon Jayne. When we were with our huge family, one niece happens to be sweetly perfect. She seems to know everything about everything and assumes that her standards are the same as everyone else's. At one point we were talking about mowing lawns, and she said...and of course you have to wear a mask. She talked about other things too, but my brain stopped listening after that comment. Do other people wear masks to mow the lawn? If it is necessary to good health, then I am doomed.

I guess if your yard is such that a lot of dust gets kicked up, it would not be a bad idea. No one around me does. Ear protection is the one I see more and even that just for gas mowers. Electrics are quiet enough that you don't need it.

Cedar dust is nasty. I've inhaled my share cutting cedar with my dad years ago. Now I know to mask up for a lot of cedar cutting or sanding.

Up here in Muskoka we're on a really sandy lot which kicks up a lot of fine sand when we mow. I still don't wear a mask for mowing. I find it's only some spots so it's not a big deal. I give my son headphones for learning to drive the lawn tractor. He needs it with his noise sensitivity more than just the potential hearing damage.

Good morning! Forgetting to wear a mask, spray paint fumes, cedar dust, garden dust-- sounds like a rough weekend or a number of us. May your breathing be better, your good health return, and your rust-resistant souls shine brightly.
We gather round the Coffee Cart this morning to chat, to support, and to strengthen our community, over coffee, tea, and baked goodies. This morning, the Wonderbaker has whipped up a batch of brownies and squares for us to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the goodies are warm from the oven. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come in and join the fun!

It is hard to believe ... abstract cookies ... abstract being dark and kind of mysterious to cause ... what else curiosity to wake the sole thing that is non comprehending!

It seems like good reason for angelic fallout ... ethereal folly! Thin case ...

Ooh, I'll put out a tub of ice cream for the brownies.

The magic of the room is the ice cream won't melt and the brownies stay warm

Hacking up junk still, though my heart rate has returned closer to normal . Fairly exhausted.

Didn't cough (much) in the theatre..but..I fell asleep.

I think i slept through 50% of the play. Thankfully not in front row and i didn't snore

The ice cream won't melt? That sounds great! It's 27°C here

I started pencilling things in for my September calendar. Trying to figure out what to give up! Music, books, cards, church work, a writers' group, sorority, delivering church services, plus a few family birthday celebrations. My kids asked about what we were doing for the birthdays....3 grandsons and one son-in-law. I was hoping they would plan it....Nope....at our place and called a 'birthday bash'. Did I mention how small our place is? Hope it is nice out on September 19 so we can overflow into the yard. And how big a cake do I need to make? It will all work out...just feeling the initial panic.
