Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Looks like rejection to me if you don't like it. Face it Mendy ... you've expressed a dislike very frequently ... unless it fits your form!

It is a thing of great piety ... like stone ... hard to cut ... not of a fluid essence ... like that at the bottom of the stairs! Quite the folly in accepting everything ther is and isn't to your will ... it is just how it goes in the physical ... consider me a haunting air ... always in the background ... where shoved ...

Can we get beyond there air of humor? Can we learn of things misunderstood ...

So much for the room for "ALL" ... god and everything that is affiliated such as body, mind and spirit is something beyond the power of those isolated ...

So I say good bye to your form of idealism!

I retreat to the great unknown ... understand? It is perhaps why you cannot understand ... hard walls?

Jayne ... have you ever discussed unknowns I have presented? I would reply in the negative and thus these communities unravel as I see many churches ... who has supported this little guy without power whatsoever but as several scholars have said ... "you have a gift of inquiry ..."

Alas the comment was posed "why no questions in church?" Because we fear something ... but we don't understand "the reason ..."

The point, I think , is that this is a Room for All, but not a room for everything ( topic wise). So the critic was that Jae was responding to something you said in what he thought he understood, but it ends up like a back and forth of you saying something mostly un- recognizable and him responding with a kind of preaching. This is not what the room is for. You are very welcome to play this game in your own thread.

Welp, I'm down a tooth. Looked pretty bad on the x-rays and it has caused me grief in the past so out it came. Guess I'm now a few grams lighter, at least. Of course, that side of my mouth is frozen (the dental kind, not the being outside in a Canadian winter kind) which is so much fun (not).

Seconded. Thirded. Whatever. This is not the place at any rate.
Understood, and I'm happy to discuss such things elsewhere. At the same time, may I please ask for clarity on just what can be talked about here. Because it seems like a whole range of topics have been discussed

From the opening post by Busymom, which is as close to a thread manifesto as you'll get:

My hope was that it would be a safe space to share life's joys, challenges, celebrations, concerns, and the everyday bits of our lives that make us who we are.

It tends to stray for sure (as any thread does) but per that quote, the original purpose of the room, and the one many of us want to maintain, is to talk about everyday lives, triumphs, troubles, and so on. It is for sharing our own lives, not discussing politics, theology, and so on. Ideally, if a non-Room appropriate topic comes up in the room, best to launch a new thread on that topic and then drop a link in the room for those that want to follow it. I don't think we are going to be hardcore about modding it, just trust people to stay within the spirit of the thread and gently (or less gently) remind people when they stray from it.

I have a molar being pulled on Friday morning. My dentist wouldn't do it, so headed to a specialist. (Can you hear the $$$?)

I have warned my family that I may be grumpy this weekend!

Good morning! It is Thursday, weekend time is near. For those who have lost a tooth, or are going to lose a tooth, we offer our condolences. Both for the inconvenience and pain, and for the $$$. We hope it all works out for the better.
We come together for coffee and tea at the Coffee Cart, as we converse with each other, support one another, and strengthen our connections. Along with the hot beverages, our Wonderbaker has baked muffins of several kinds for us to enjoy. The kettle is merrily boiling, and the coffee just finished brewing. Muffins are warm from the oven. All is ready and everyone is welcome. Come join in!

Interesting. My dentist sent me for a consultation with an endodontist who had better imaging gear to see if a root canal was possible but he just sent me back to my dentist when he decided it needed to come out. Mine was a molar, too. :giggle:
