Room For All

The Dutch were my backup and they didn't even make the Round of 16 this year. Ditto Germany. So I am actually not sure who I am cheering for. I work with a couple people of Portuguese descent so maybe them. Or, as you say, England.
In the past, I would've gone Canada --> USA

But not in the Trump years

Drove through Cambridge after Portugal won against Croatia on Wednesday night.

Lots of horn honking.

The neighbourhood bordering the bypass in east Galt area is called Little Portugal. The Portuguese church is there. Street names are Lisbon Street, etc.

I grew up there.

Tomorrow could be fun, then. Beating the Spanish would be huge for the Portuguese. Game is tomorrow at 3pm. I'll bet the Portuguese woman in billing finds a reason to hang out in our department tomorrow (We have a big TV screen that normally shows network status and related info for all our locations, but for some strange reason keeps showing World Cup matches these days. Must be some kind of virus ;).)

Good morning! Hope you all had a pleasant weekend. The World Cup is calling out attention, especially since a red card suspension against a US player was lifted, after a 'conversation' with 'you-know-who.' Anyway, we gather round the Coffee Cart for tea and coffee, as well as the productions of the Wonderbaker. We also gather to chat, support, and connect. This morning we have cinnamon buns to enjoy with our caffeine. The tea kettle is boiling, the coffeemaker has beeped, letting us know its cycle is complete, and the buns are warm from the over. All is ready, all are welcome. Come in and join in!

More charred shrouds by folk probe to flaming in their genius?

Some declare there is nothing hidden from humanity ... and I say we should ask deeper questions ... that's de quelched as it could shame leaders that are prone to shame ... then some have none whatsoever ... the base piet EH ... speakeasy ... best underground as in catacombs where Roman Slaves were taught after dark ...

Could this carry on as autonomous mental character? Really! Thus the psyche drift ... to a domain beyond us that is invisible a initial light ... and out of the darkness ... something turn up ... like moonflowers ... stuff exposed in dreams?

Hard laws ... no questions? Who supports that and who bypasses what they cry for ... and all this out of where?

Reminds me of the struggle between the 3:
  • Pharisee
  • Sadducee
  • SanHe dron
D' ron is questionable also posing as teflon ... then I was not to state anything understood as a gob ... things flying in the dark at some height? Fertile ...

Fleur de Lis ... tis icon of something else ... push on with great care and concern ... the future of everything is at stake ... and you know what the power do in such cases ... thus it flames ... after they power thought the item was confined. Haunting ...

What a lovely night for sleeping in Southern Ontario.

I use an app that monitors my sleeping. Restlessness, heart rate, awake times, restlessness etc.

Last night i had a scary dream. it woke me up and i didn't want to go back to sleep. As i was calming down, I thought, I wonder what my monitor will show?

Sure enough, my heart rate reflected it. My heart rate during sleeping ranges normally between 52 and 63bpm.

During that active bit of REM sleep, it was up at 80.

Wowzer.

There are folk that believe this is beyond us a dream ... and yet one questions: "What was that all about?"

Was that pro science, or con science ... as they parsed? Is there an ultimate impact ... something we cannot see until later ... revelation of great awakening to the vast communion of essence? Something to whet the unknown ... abstract!

Few accept the abstract ether because that suggests ongoing evolution of things like communion ... is that a adequate connection ... a dark network that should be studied by sojourners ... peculiar angels ...

Those established do not like shifts and change ... they just dig in ... extract what you can ... provide nothing ... taxation is evil ... no give, no take ... it descends to a point ...

Talked to a particle physicist yesterday about alien plasma ... rare things as yet unseen?

Then there is the son of laughter considered the devil by those that feel everything should be working for their private cause ... reason?

Are you someone's sunshine? Is the dark side irregular or just the other side of the wave ... like wash and rinse ... REN's ... laws somewhere ... somewhere else doing the breaking ... continuous bother, care, etc. Due to emptying process ... drain? Perhaps not a linear item ... as it goes about ... many do not feel that way as they try to be better than the alternate ... the opposed ... reciprocations! Imagine the tables ...

Wow @JayneWonders! I guess I shouldn't be surprised that dreams affect us that much, but it sure is proof when the heart rate increases. (Who needs exercise???) Much cooler here this morning, but temperature will get into high 20's. I go to my financial planner today, then get ready for some babysitting tomorrow. And prepare to lead worship on Sunday. Just normal stuff.

So we went out to lunch in Bracebridge today, to a place called The Old Station. Nice place, great food and quite busy.

Like a lot of restaurants, all the servers were female, conventionally attractive and in tight and small black attire. What I noticed further was that they were all blonde. At least half a dozen attractive blondes with POS devices and happy smiles. At least, every one I saw was blonde. Which, statistically, is as unlikely as them all being genuinely happy about their day.

Just after I made that observation, an attractive brunette server walked by. My daughter motioned her head toward her as she passed us and noted, "Diversity hire."

Chip off the old block, that girl is. :giggle:

I've eaten in places like that (ones with a surfeit of attractive female servers), though not in a while. There was one in downtown London (or more likely Richmond Row) where I went for a business lunch or something one time years ago. No idea if it is still there. Rarely go to downtown and Richmond Row these days.

Zach had a good line as well today. We noticed a poster for a Muskoka concert lineup. One of the bands will be the Odds. They were co-headlining a day with The Tea Party. The top of the poster read:

The Tea Party
Odds

My wife is a fan of the Odds, which is why I pointed to the poster. My son was surprised by the band names. "I thought it was going to tell us the odds of there being a tea party."

It wasn't exactly intentional, but I'll allow it.

Edit: Found it
