Good morning all. We are back from an internment service in the Ottawa Valley. We visited with so many — family and friends. Today I plan to be quiet.
 
You have to make sure you pronounce that correctly, or people might think the Wonderbaker has been creating crap. :LOL:

I'll have crepe and some tea. Weather is moderately better. Of course it is. It's a work day. :cautious::sneaky:
 
After days of dryness, we had a morning of light rain followed by an afternoon of heavy rain. Great for the garden. I am tempted to put the tomatoes and beans out, but I heard we are getting single digits nights for the next two weeks.
Tomorrow a day of babysitting and 20 degrees in the pm, we will be heading for the playground with a shovel and a bucket and visit some friends after.
 
I was talking to a patient with a Christian background the other day and I usually tell them they might expect that they will set off the alarm at an airport with their new hip/ knee joint.
She started to grin and said she had a friend who believes in the rapture and supposedly when they get lifted up, all clothes will fall of them - and she just imagined all those artificial joints plopping back down to earth…
( one could extend that to fillings ,gold crowns, fake eyes, legs, glasses, hearing aids…. honestly, sounds like a big mess to me…
 
I am moving into total plant sale mode, I worked today, weeded before work, and potted up at least 20 pots of iris after work... Discovered lemon chilves this year. More grasslike than bulblike, nice sharp garlic flavour, faint lemon hint.

Good morning! How is everyone? Back from a burial, seeing friends and family, deciding whether or not to get the tomatoes and beans out, interesting thoughts about 'The Rapture,' disappointing sins (so to speak, and plant sale preparation, these may fuel our conversations today around the Coffee Cart, as well as what arises today. We gather for coffee and tea, and baked goodies from our Wonderbaker. This morning we find freshly made English muffins, white and whole wheat, with lots of tempting spreads and toppings. The tea water is boiling, the coffee freahbrewed, and muffins toasted to perfection. All is ready, and everyone is welcome. Come and get it!

Home from a breakfast gathering with 200 other folks listening to Diana Fox Carney.

It was good to be up early, and spend time with folks who are passionate about Canada
 
I am up, fed, showered, and tired. Out of province family arriving later but haven't told us when. Air conditioning turned on at 8am so today will be hot and there is a dry wind outside.

Grabdaughter in law decided to stay home claiming to be too fat and tired to do anything. Poor ting is three months pregnant (and apparently still a Princess!).
