I know you're all eager to learn how this cliffhanger ended.

The parts came, I took the dryer apart, replaced the belt, decided the rollers were fine and put it back together.

And it worked.

Sorry to bore you.

Hey, I kept these things out of the landfill and metal recycling for another year at least.
So this was from December. Now the dryer is not heating up again.

And the heating element is fine. As is the thermal fuse near the element.

Augh.

Might be the end of the road.

WE had that once and it turned out that the 220 outlet had failed so the dryer was only getting half the power. Luckily I knew an electrician from the church who came to swap it out

Nope. Burnt wire to the element. Now why did the wire burn and not trip a fuse? Another ugh.

Pre-op appointment today…will take at least two hours. The waffles and tea should sustain me Red! Thanks.
Two hours sounds manageable to me- our patients wait at least 3-5 hours.Part of it is , that the anesthetist serving our pre op clinic is also on call for epidurals and other emergencies in the hospital. And often those babies come without appointments! We do have patients having a three hour drive from home- so that is a long day for them. Thankfully we have an overnight place run mostly by volunteers that changes $40 the night.

The threatened snow flurries have shown up as several hours of quite heavy snow. No idea how long it will last or how much will be added to the existing blanket..

Meanwhile I've been enjoying photos and words from my younger daughter,. Her latest stint of cruise ship employment ended in New Zealand. She flew from Christchurch to London (England!) and met up with one of her kids. They are having a blast. . Last night was Starlight Express.- after exploring a street market and Oxford Street.

We're expecting rain tomorrow. Rivers are quite high.

If this cold finally gives up its hold on me i may take a drive down. I love seeing the grand when it is racing in the spring

15 Degrees here yesterday, snow is melting fast. Still my walking trail is not bare yet. 17 degrees forecasted for today.
I feel the energy coming back- but somehow all my joints seem to be creaky.

Good Tuesday morning! For the dryers that have not been functioning as they should be, for the rain that will hit many of us this week, along with possible flooding, for Nancy, that the pre-op appt. yesterday went well, and that the surgery, when it happens, will be smooth as well, as well as whatever else comes up, we gather round the Coffee Cart to begin to sort it out over tea, coffee, and baked goodies. This morning the goodies are doughnut holes of many flavours. We come to talk, to find moral support for us and others, and to strengthen our camaraderie. The tea is ready, the coffee is fresh brewed, and toe doughnut holes are warm. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come join the fun!

D' oughta go there! Where? Utopia in Greek is said to be a parallel for nowhere ... that's close to nothing and can only be expressed mythically ... because those of avarice will not accept cooperative balance ... thus ongoing dissonance in some spheres ... Ba'aL -ish? Well rounded up as the greater circle ... corners are difficult --- Mackie!

Thus after a tough drag through a learning curve we exit the thing into an opposed existence! In utopian orders the firmly entrenched say that impossible ... because it is non-existentialism ... in essence nothing like it! These things pass through walls like wraiths ... sweat labs? There are metaphors ... implications are extensive ... many cannot observe this perspective for particular logic ... available to only those that go way out of their normal way!

Normal is a difficult understanding ... allowing for how things alter! If you get the OX Ford ... ford being like a transient situation where one might be transfixed for a bit of awe ... leads on to transaction! Transcending from only the great unknown knows where ... out there?

Thus the expletive: "get beyond yourself" observe the rest as a remnant that incarnates ... so it appears in a flash! Many blink and miss the critical bitz ...

Pre-op went well! Thanks for thinking of me. It was longer than the two hours because I had to wait quite a while for the anesthesiologist. (@Mrs.Anteater would understand.) But I had a really good book in hand, so didn't mind the wait. They say I am in good health but they set the bar pretty low. One question was...can you walk 1 km?

I belong to an on-line writing group. I've never written to be published, but I write a lot...sermons, messages and letters for various groups to which I belong. This group will help me overcome some shyness and open myself to critiques. I hope. We'll see how it goes tonight. Tonight's writing prompt was a painting of spring flowers.

Is it safe to assume that doughnut holes contain no calories? It seems so as holes are empty.

Last night's snow has left us with a beautiful world this morning. . Everything looks clean and fresh with the snow covering the messy bits.. The sky is a delightful clear blue and the sun is shining. Outside our kitchen window there is a jack pine tree with wee snowballs clinging to the needles. Glorious!

Even I'm ready to leave winter behind soon.

I know.

I've been cold so often I wonder if I'm capable of being cold anymore. I go straight to numb.

Finished off training with some fun jumping runs. Here's one of my athletes being lead by another coach.

And he's not even the most adventurous of my guys. These kids have almost no fear.

Those keeping score can rest easy that the broken wire was at a connection and has been mended. Couldn't find a compatible connector so I managed to reuse the old one and solder the original crimp style blade connector back on the shortened wire. You really shouldn't reuse a crimped connector, but the solder should help hold it and make a better connection.

Dryer works again. It gets a side eye every time I walk by now. I trust it and the washer like I trusted my 98 Mercury Mystique.

Good morning! Happy midweek! Spring takes a break for a few days here, and winter returns, though most of the precipitation is rain, lots of it. Cooler here for a while. But Spring will come, hopefully sooner than later! That Nancy's appt went fairly well, that the dryer functions as it should (at least for the time being) is good news.
Today the Wonderbaker was inspired by BethAnne, and has made applesauce bites for our enjoyment. The coffee is frsehbrewed, the tea water is ready, and the goodies are still warm from the oven. Let us gather to chat, to support, and to connect as we enjoy the refreshments. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come in and join in!

Sounds like settled humur in an arid place ... dun well? There was a man once called Duns Scotus ... was finished! No more volunteering? Its gonna cost ..
