World Day of Prayer went well yesterday. It was written by women of Nigeria. A priest from Nigeria gave us some insight into the country. He started off by saying— Nigeria has everything it needs except good governance. I’m thinking there are a few countries that could claim the same thing.

Such is common Eire than you'd ponder. Ordinary folk hate it ...

Not sure if it is because of governance or other issues but they have a serious brain drain happening, I think. Almost every time I post a position now, I have applications from Nigerians. And the number of Nigerians I meet professionally is quite high. Most of the Black tech people I meet seem to be Nigerian ex-pats anymore.

We seem to be getting Nigerian doctors. Mostly they seem to be fulfilling some checkbox on their way to being fully qualified to practice in Canada. Once qualified they leave for bigger communities.

Which is the problem with these programs to encourage new and immigrant doctors to work in underserviced areas. Once they finish their contractual obligation, they head back to the cities unless they really find a good reason to stay.

The priest that spoke to us yesterday definitely talked about the exodus of professionals, especially doctors. He spoke about how horrible the hospitals were. I am thinking the education system must be okay, to turn out so many doctors! He also said that education is valued for the women. If anything, the male children leave school early to work or take care of family members.

Some authorities tell me education and knowledge is an evil power ... destroys the pious?

One can't help investigating the power of metaphor ... it is something else (like opposite the carnate ... incarnate)!

Carnate; imbodied in flesh ... imagine that! Maybe they meant garnet as harder to accept ... and purple as that dragon ... chip of the gemstone?

We had fog but not as bad as a couple times in the past two weeks. There were a couple days where I knew an intersection was coming by seeing the left turn lane start. The traffic lights weren't visible until I was right there.

Good morning! For those who went on Friday, hope the World Day of Prayer was meaningful. Hope the fogs soon lift, and many more robins come in!
We gather again around the Coffee Cart to share thoughts, ideas, and experiences, to offer support to one abother, and to connect with each other over coffee, tea, and baked goodies. Today the Baker has made up a batch of apple crisp for us; with either whipped cream, or ice cream to top it (or plain, if you wish). The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and the apple crisp is nicely warm. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join in the chats!

I prayed where I was at ... self-induction? The surrounding prefers I were deduced ... and so the esteemed vaporization ... there's a certain heat in the mystery! Dark? Of course ... do not tell ... let it pile up ...

Accretion? really! The inky eventually presents itself ... give it a nod ... thank the mystery for the rest ...

Apple crisp with ice cream sounds like it would be perfect with my tea this afternoon. Will try to remember to pop back in for it later.

Been busy with life. So Snoopy has hung up his typewriter for now. The Lenten Reflections thread will remain paused.

I agree that apple crisp with ice cream sounds good.
Yesterday I made Not Cross Buns. A son showed up as I took them from the oven and enjoyed feeding his face,. We had some at snack and dinner time. . Our other son, wife and kid popped in after the young guy's soccer match. . They attacked the supply and took the last three buns home with them.

Good morning! The buns sound wonderful, Kaythecurler! The Wonderbaker was planning to make some for Good Friday next month! Maybe you could help with that project!
We gather around the Coffee Cart this morning to ponder how one would hang up a typewriter. Yes, I know, it was a figure of speech, but the visual image I got from that was quite amusing! Anyway, we are here to converse, to support one another, and to build community. This happens over coffee and tea, and baked goodies. Today the Wonderbakery has produced waffles, with all kinds of toppings-- syrup, fruits, whipped cream, and more. The tea water is boiling, and coffee is freshbrewed; and waffles are warm and waiting. All are welcome! Come on in and join in!

In the action of hot cross buns ... are there reactions?

Anyone exceptionally panicky ... especially about raisins in e "M"?

The "M" is for medium if you can stand there without a flash of outrage ... due to fear of raison something!

In fear and outrage the discussion of both sides go on above and beneath us ... subtle, or hypothetically! There is this sacred network operated somewhat by the reactions of the hypothalamus ... it contains a mus*eh that may develop into a whine in the trees ... deep organization of a DIN 've thought! We live innuit ... practically unknown ... NUTZ?

Virtue of truth is how little we know of what's beyond us ... that's word for yah ... matter of interest of just curious?

Challenging differentiation ...

Deep exchange or profound trade to rule ... winners rise for toppling! There has to be something for the underlife forms ... ameba's, etc. In the world of Ba's ... go figure that abstract! Tis baffling and always was ... thus inhibiting devices ... like frightening words of alien cultures ... these may work about in artifacts of ancient literary dispersion ... literally funny as a slip of fashion ... as they drift into the dark and unknown.

Mores to envision or look into? Complexity mounts from an accrued pile of Stix on the river ... superfluous? Log drivers ... got to be a tale to tell there somewhere ... a ringer?

But how else to get a taste of irrationality than to drop out of Utopia for a time ... folly? Whetted lady in the pool ... creature of anticipation?
