Good morning! A messy snowy Sunday in this area, hope it's better where you are. we think of the two children who died, and also about drunken drivers, snow, winter, snow tunnels, and whatever else may arise. We gather round the Coffee Cart, where the tea is always perfection and the coffee always at the right temperature, and the baked goodies are wonderful. Today we have scones, with various toppings to make them delicious. Everything is ready, and all are welcome! Come in and join the conversations!

Had my covid shot yesterday then went to the city to visit the old neighbour- she was better, they had a fire drill two days before and the day after that she was confused about having to leave because they are closing the place down….
Bought an Instant pot on the way home and now experimenting with cooking steel cut oats while my coffee runs through. I slept 8.5 hours- I think that was result of the covid shot, my normal is 7. Not worth getting up, we have freezing rain for the next couple of hours….anybody in for steel cut oats with maple sirup?

I am still lazing in my housecoat. If I was dressed I'd join you in some steel cut oats. Sounds just the thing for out freezing rain day. A son was planning to be on the highway but will (I hope) stay put until the salt trucks have done their work.
 
Intoxication takes many forms ... with some it is the power of brutality and mean ness ... it is a dark pool on which to ponder!

Symbol of a gap in the comprehension system? Maybe a Black Hole for a period of time?

Good Monday morning! Colder here this morning, no precipitation for today but for the next 3 days there is. Hope everyone's weekend went well. Covid shots, longer sleeps, instant pot and steel cut oats (sounds like an interesting combination), and whatever develops today comes to the Coffee Cart with us as we discuss it all and sort it all out over tea and coffee. The Baker has made muffins for us to enjoy with out beverages. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and muffins are a warm delight on a cool morning. All is ready, and all are welcome. Come in and join the chat, and help yourself to the goodies!

Winter is a time of distraught variants ... and white-out syndrome ... snow blindness that is like that steady whitishness ...

Zero contrast ... no shadows allowed ... where do shadow of doubt go? Geez ...
 
Coached over weekend with daughter. Most of the kids are improving leaps and bounds. Zach in particular is doing so much better. The head coach is back and he listens to him. He doesn't really listen to me, which is why I turned the job down twice before accepting, because I'm dad and not coach.

I have a 16-year-old who is taller than me and new to ski racing of any kind. He is my pet project. He is really starting to get it. He looks so good coming into a turn and then it all falls apart, but it's coming. The parents are amazed. The goal is to get him good enough that he can work as a ski instructor next winter.

This is amazing fun. I can't wait to leave it and go back to regular ski racing. I mean, I like this, but it's not my place in the world. I'm helping out while the head coach is returning from injury, and working with my daughter is great because I can pass on knowledge to her. There's just something about it that tells me it's not where I'm supposed to be in the long term. I'm a GS and slalom racer/coach. I miss it. I also want my daughter to fly on her own, and my son to concentrate on what all the coaches tell him.

Also, it's bloody scary.

Our toastmasters club had its TableTopics Contest. I had stepped in as chair, and it was a busy week leading up to it. It ended up being fun and a great success. We're a small club, so contests mean that everyone, plus guests are engaged.

Tabletopics are the place to showcase your ability to speak on your feet, responding to a query. Each contestant is out of the room when the other contestant responds, so there is no advantage by order. The question allows for someone to spin a beginning, middle, end within a 1-2 minute speech. It can be fun, and some people are awesome at it.
 
Good Tuesday morning! Ski coaching adventures continue, sounds like the skiers are getting better at it. Toastmaster TableTopics seems either fun or terrifying, maybe a bit of both? Anyway, we come together around the Coffee Cart for chat, support, and connection, over coffee and tea. This morning the Wonderbaker has baked up some fabulous cinnamon bubs for us to indulge in. The tea water is at a boil, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the buns warm and soft. All is ready; all are most welcome. Come in and join the chats!

These stories go on ... into something else ... even strangers to the topic given?

Thus tongue lashings by those preferring deep water under the bridge ... silence for better reflecting surface? The crossing of mediums ... what if it is the same one encountered in 2 directions ... confused commands?

Expect there always to be someone for and someone against as in the pros and cons ... until a balance is achieved ... potential for that?

Not down at this level ... as Marie declared go deeper ... we still come out the other's ide ... protruding? Tru' de to life ... motionless? Then the slapping about ... in essence a spirited moment ... got ta get "M" going ...

On the face of it is life a scan or scam? The stuff we don't know about materialism is disturbingly dissonant ... something is bound to rise ... bounders? Kinetic theory ... it is all in the word moving and unknown ... absolutely baffling to the masses ... membrane ... the vernacular metaphor is huge ... vast cover?

Even the Bessent (best sent down) is not happy with criminal investigation of US monetary affairs ... exchanges? Bad change ... shorting ...

Is life the greatest mix-up you've ever seen? Hold your breath there's more heat coming ... because we'll will not share in a balanced manner ... instability? Now there's additional shake-down ... up? Life is like a Martini ... idle pass through ... causing some black times ... when one can perform the unknown ... paranormal?

To understand, some immersion regarding the insanity clause is prerequisite ... it is just how it goes ... motivation is crazy!

Do we gather the wrong material when nothing was the intention so you could suffer a period of losing it? Enigmatic unless viewed from another dimension ... the we'll having its own struggle to turn ... reminiscent of Lot' spouse ...

Then pouse is an interesting pause for reflection in deep zones ... here one might realize what's happened is done ... thought penetrating reality? Some say that's BS as the item approaches at lightning speed ... believe it ... as stuff you previously didn't ...

Exchange of psyche is difficult ... sole thing ... bottom lye'n? Open to roles ... just recall that X is for the mystery of it all ... especially what you forgot when blowing your mind ... stellar activity? Tis all mental dissonance ... stirring deep ... wayward?

Good morning everyone. . time for me to clan a yummy cinnamon
bun and a cup of coffee. Woke to plus temperature this morning. Bizarre. Currently raining with a forecast of dropping temperature. Even more bizarre.
 
Warm and wet here today but then the temps do not so much fall as plummet and they are forecasting a -11C high for Thursday, then more moderate negatives from there on.

Toastmasters sounds interesting. Something maybe I should look into. I really need a social outlet besides work and church doesn't seem to be happening. If the local humanists were still around, I might join them but they were kind of a casualty of the pandemic. There's still a humanist officiant based in London and listed with the Ontario Humanist Society, which I think is a legacy of them, but the local group itself folded and their website is now flagged as archival.
 
Good morning! Hopefully a wonderful Wednesday in in store for us all. Cooler, but the morning seems clear; besides Thursday looks a bit iffy around here. Anyway, the Room is cheerful, tea and coffee almost ready. Let us come together round the Coffee Cart for conversation, support, connection, and community. Our Baker has created fruit turnovers of several varieties for us to munch on. The tea water is near boiling, coffee just finished brewing, and the turnovers are warm and flaky. All is ready, everybody welcome, Come in. share your thoughts, have a pastry and a cup or mug!

Still warm and wet. The other shoe drops tomorrow apparently as Winter returns. And I am not taking vac until Spring. Oh well, I'll manage somehow.
