BC - especially urban and suburban areas - didn’t used to have so many because the weather out here doesn’t call for as many big non-commercial vehicles. It picked-up (pardon the pun) in the last 10 years. Wonder why? (I have theories)

I am courteous, I leave space, I dont tailgate, etc.
You use spec headlamps that don't make having lasers shot in your eye seem mild by comparison? Because I find pickup and luxury vehicle drivers are the worst offenders for overly bright halogen headlamps. Had some drip behind me earlier this week with blinding lights.

This whole idea of people using a pickup as their daily driver when they aren't contractors of some kind (or similar) baffles me. I suppose if you live on a rural property and want a true 4x4 (most SUVs are AWD nowadays but 4x4 pickups are still common) or something but I find a lot of people driving them without, to my eye at least, a good case for doing so.

When involved with the bigger is better generation ... one faces exhaustion! Then the concept of details of the small things is lost to their stretch! Is that extensive somewhere?

Someone in my neighborhood set off fireworks early last evening. We had a perfect view from our living room. So pretty and so unexpected!

Hm. Interesting. I've never had anyone around here do New Year's fireworks. The guy behind me used to do them for most of the summer holidays but never New Year's. We sometimes get some Diwali fireworks happening, though.

My area is full of grocery getter pickups. All high spec F150s and Rams, with leather and high performance engines and low profile tires. Or Ford Raptors with ridiculous offload setups, ready for the Dakar Rally. There are three Raptors within 10 houses of me. There is one at the house of the parents of the Subban brothers. PK is retired and I think one other made the NHL? Their house has a gate. Our house has a pile of plywood at the side.

You dont put anything heavy or scratchy in these pickups or you destroy the resale value. It's nuts.

The other thing we have are Mercedes G wagons. Absolutely overpriced bricks of SUVs with engines way too powerful for their high centre of gravity. They are purely status symbols.

Then we have a couple of Cybertrucks. 'Nuf said.

My truck is stock except for chunky snow tires at present. Headlights are bright, so I try to stay back from low vehicles at night.

Ugh
Then we have a couple of Cybertrucks.
Even more ugh (the local Tesla store is in the mall near me so I see their demo unit frequently)

And as the driver of one of those low vehicles ('23 Civic) I thank you. I swear sedans are as low to the ground as some sports cars nowadays, at least the compact ones like mine.

What do you expect justice, kindness and mercy has got to do with anything ... when it is nowhere in sight?

That's got to be some sort of indication or sign ... icon IHC? Like the lost IDE ... for those that don't know much due to religious fixation ... seizure?

Some say eddy face ...

Did you know that a broad spectrum of humanity does not appreciate me because of the great spread of experience I've had reading about shemira ... or even מֵת! Imagine man doing a dance about the item ...

Is that kind of screwy as it goes down a hole in the waters? Core oli ... later a gurgle emerges ... like a cardinal mumbling in the forest!

Someone is undoubtedly going to mythicize this situ ... and yet ... it too will pass, eh?

Goes right against those wishing rigid fixtures ... bo neres? Hoars neigh a sweat in church ... about free screws on shabbat daies ...

Loose nuts prerequisite ... for unloading, or enlightening ... it is how it goes! Preparing for saponification ... a type of sequestering ... sextant chemistry! Some washing out expected ... eclectic dribble down ...

No skiing today. Snowshoe and shoveling day. Exhausted.

Zach had 1 day off from my coaching. He chose to spend it online, playing with Lego and watching Netflix. He's earned it. He has dozens of km under his belt this week.

Is there a term for the un decorating task of putting away Christmas decor?

I spent the morning and early afternoon sewing then shifted to taking ornaments of tree, washing Christmas linens. Getting bins down and packing it all away.

Cleaners come tomorrow , so once I started needed to keep going.

Tomorrow is volunteering then shopping for gifts for my great nieces and nephews. I had good intentions of sewing them items but I just was not mentally up to sewing for much of December.

Good Friday morning, everyone! More snow fun, bright headlights, people who forget how to drive safely in winter; red trucks and Ram trucks, plus the joy of de-decorating after the holidays. Some lively discussions over these and other topics can happen! (Plus split pea soup and its aroma! Let us gather round the Coffee Cart and mull it all over, chat, support, and find solidarity, over tea, coffee, and doughnuts of various kinds, supplied by our Wonderbakery! The tea water is hot, coffee is freshbrewed, still have some hot chocolate left, if anyone would like. All is ready, everybody welcome. Come join in!
