Good Tuesday morning, all! Opportunities for ski runs, chances to shop, finish up last minute details. baking, decorating, planning... gets busy, doesn't it? may we find time, even in our busy-ness, to relax, remember, and reflect. We gather round the Coffee Cart, to chat, connect, and support, over tea and coffee, and baked goodies. Today the Wonderbakery is providing cinnamon buns for us to enjoy. All is ready, everybody is welcome. Come join in the fun!

I'll accept a cinnamon bun to go with my next cuppa. Chaos reigns around here.. Our house just got re arranged to use the hospital bed Home Care thought was a Good Thing for me. So - my old bed had to move to what was a Craft Room. Stuff in that room had to go elsewhere. Grand kid has claimed a sewing machine and cabinet that gets picked up later today but is currently in the living room.. A lovely younger woman is cleaning the house. Partner has lots to do. I'm going to concentrate on keeping out of the way! Yeah - a cinnamon bun sounds like a solution

Good that someone took it. My wife actually has Mom's old Singer stowed away. Barely uses it except for the odd repair, though. Mom actually took a course and did some more serious sewing (skirts and such).

And cinnamon buns are always a solution. Well, as long as you like cinnamon (I'm the only one in my family who'll eat it).

I bet it isn't any consolation to now that many have the same situation. Sorry to hear that you are one of the many people feeling poorly at holiday time..
Thanks. I don’t feel extremely bad, I just don’t feel well…so I will keep it from others. Need to get out today to get food, though I am not very hungry. But since I was invited over the holidays, I didn’t fill up the fridge. They have yummy fresh made and frozen meals down the road , just perfect for single people. I’ll get the squash and bacon soup. Today is time to open up the packages from Germany. I am suspecting some nice tea in it.

Good Wednesday morning! The holiday season begins in earnest for many of us today. May it be a joyful time, and a time of wonder for us. For those whose health isn't the greatest, we do hope you are improving. As we gather round the Coffee Cart today, may our conversations be positive . We come to chat, to support, and to connect over tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, and to enjoy the Baker's products. Today the Baker has made bear claws. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and the claws are warm and soft. All is ready, all are welcome! Come join in the fun!

And a grand day to you as we rise out of another inky shadow ... that's Nacht early ... like the buoy ds ... word dance ... just to prove it can be!

Thus Tobias ... said to be a gift of god ... can this be contained? Kahn 'd ... verily obscured ... Thomason Ian ...

Struggled to think of a good gift for the wife, and she for me. We agreed not to bother getting gifts for each other. Kids are covered, of course.

Then I thought of a great gift, long overdue. It comes with a lead time, but I went ahead anyway because her birthday is in January.

I got a call yesterday. It was ready.

Divorce staved off for another year.

Brilliant like a star in a dark place ... Bethlehem in one story was a bit of a nut house! Enter ... "one flew!"

Good morning! Merry Christmas! We gather today in celebration; though for some this may be a rough day May we be mindful of each other's other's perspective; that all may be included and understood. The Wonderbaker has taken the day off, but did provide a bumpercrop of gingerbread for today. Tea and coffee are freshly made; all is ready and all are welcome. Come in and join us!

Between us I bet we could make a seasonal version of Stine Soup. I can add some sliced ham and sausage rolls.

Merry Christmas.

Chatted with one of my Italian MAGA neighbours last night as we arrived as they were leaving. They wished us a Merry Christmas. Frank is a good guy in many ways, but is a big Trump and Poilievre fan. I wished him "Happy Holidays" and he recoiled.

"Happy Holidays???"

"Well, I don't want to assume anything. You could be Muslim for all I know."

"Goodbye!" As he slammed the door of his suv and drove off.

Can anyone explain Social Media to me?

We keep getting notifications on FB about the Call the Midwife Christmas special. They say it is currently streaming on Netflix and BritBox . Hubby has searched for hours and can't find it,. We are finding this to be a Bah Humbug experience!

Oh my goodness @chansen

CTM seasons always seem to start with a Christmas special as I remember it @KayTheCurler.

Maybe Canadian Netflix doesn't have it? I have run into this a few times with other series.

Man vs Baby is good with a Christmas vibe. We watched Klaus last night which is cute but I didn't love it.

Why do powers despise abuse but load it on others ... always the other doesn't know anything ... creates (ÆD) adi vide ... no?

I suppose it depends on how what's writ is phonetically spit out ...

I had a Muslim here for Christmas Eve and he didn't so much as bat an eyelash when I said "Merry Christmas". Admittedly, he's only been Muslim for 5 years next month and got there by marriage. My son was basically raised without a faith save odd visits to UU and UCCan. But I don't recall his wife (raised in the faith) to be especially bothered by it, either. I tend to find that there may be more Westerners who assume people of other faiths are offended by "Merry Christmas" than people of other faiths who actually are. All IME, of course.

Regardless, that guy was being a jerk, pure and simple.
