It’s just cloudy and cool here. Yesterday there was some wind and a misty rain. I wore a hat to keep rain off my glasses but it didn’t work like usual! The water was a fine spray that went everywhere almost like aerosol lol. Refreshing, if it wasn’t almost ice cold. I need to stay dry and see where I’m going!

It seems to be dryer today, although I haven’t looked at the forecast.

It's clear and breezy here. Snow is expected for the GTA but mostly to the north and east of Scarborough where I live.

We got alot of snow this time around, just west of London.
I don't think I mentioned this but my oldest son and his family moved from Welland to close to International Falls at the tip of Lake Superior this year. She's a French teacher and he runs his own business at home for web design. ( It was always their dream to move north when the kids got older)
Anyway, they hardly got any snow so far....what's with that?

The ski club got 9 inches or so. I'm confirmed as a ski cross coach for the season.

I'm not a ski cross coach.

This should be interesting.

The head coach is in rough shape. I'm not sure what his medical problems are now, but he's had a couple competing issues in the past. He intends to coach and said he would only need me part time, but his boss overruled him and hired me full time, well aware that the main cross coach is probably going to miss a substantial part of the season, and they need another experienced coach to carry the program.

We have 14 athletes between ages 10 and 14. Zach is one of the 10 year olds. Claire will mostly coach the youngsters. The head coach will take the older athletes when he's there. I'll float as needed so I know them all.

The sport is still pretty new at the grassroots level. There are so few coaches for it. I'm only here because my daughter coaches it because she's weird (she's more intimidated by a regular race course than she is racing shoulder-to-shoulder with 3 other girls over jumps). I've been around the sport, so I know some things about it.

With my son on the team, it makes coordination pretty simple. Everyone gets in truck and goes to training or race. Simple.

I'm just gonna miss "real" racing. That's my sport. That's what I came back to coach because I have a passion for it. There is a skill overlap, but the races are completely different. In ski racing, you're done in a couple of hours. Cross events are over 3 days (Thurs through Sat). Training, time trials and heats are all on their own days. A training day is essential because you can't be expected to hit those jumps at full speed on day one. For me, it's three days of freezing at the top of an Ontario escarpment being a ski tech, coach and hype man.

That said, the energy is incredible. The tunes are playing and the atmosphere is more laid back and friendly than ski racing. My daughter loves that about it. When she goes to races, she's at the bottom. Once the athletes are ready to discuss, she relays feedback to the top, celebrates wins and is the perfect person to see after a disappointing run. She exudes genuine empathy and the athletes all love her.

Let's see what they think of me.

Good Morning! Saturday has arrived. Some of us had lots of wind yesterday, and some got a nice dump of snow, too. Offspring who have relocated and living their dream, coaching challenges to grow into, and the rest of yesterday's issues, plus whatever pops up today, will be things to reflect upon and talk about. Along with out chat, support, and connections, we got coffee and tea. Also some wonderful cream puffs from the Wonderbakery. Tea water is boiling, coffee fresh brewed, and puffs are nice and warm. All is ready, all are welcome! Come join the fun!

Believing things remain the same is some sort of wicked humor ... just as you get positioned ... a shift comes off ... plops down ... adorn nothing ... and within the cover ... imagine!

Just more Ayre ...

It is a beautiful day here. Crisp snow, air is still.

It is not improving my husband's mood though. His highschool reunion was to be held today and was cancelled by a risk averse school board (they were meeting at their highschool in k-w)

I am sewing by the fire.

Had bloodwork scheduled this morning so fasted last night. Ugh. Glad my more routine stuff doesn't require fasting. This was a more comprehensive workup. Oh well, it is done. Cold (-3) but didn't get any more snow last night. I did have to put some ice melt down. There's some ice across the top of the driveway.

If the great powers were to create corruption (for any reason, even for a painful lesson) would it be logical to put it in a domain of limited mortality and morals? Should it contained, jae r'd, by mysterious means ... a dark energy? Now there's an enigma to be documented ... in a dimension where records and logs are despised because of the self-accusatory essence ... jud eh potentially by Julie 'n fluence ... such creepy rifts would be disaffected ...

Such is the imperfection of humankind, sometimes labelled mankind as the fey influence of one sector is ignored ... additional grift?

Does this appear as an enigma of academia ... or justified demi Yah? ... that's one portion! Deserves further composition ... as the myth never ends ... it worms along in dark dimensions! Levite ... or lonely vitalitae ... then vital minis ... tiny details! Abstract ... that's dark also ... but said to be part of the mind, psyche, sol singularity! Some portal will claim it private although extracted from resources beyond in the public domain! Isn't that out-there?

Stretch or stressful ... snappy out there ...

I love cream puffs! Thanks @Redbaron. I've been down with a wicked cold since Wednesday, so have not accomplished much on my to-do list. Husband is away, so I'm on my own coughing and hacking. And feeling plenty sorry for myself. Thirty years ago today, my Dad died. He was only 64. Miss him every day.

It appears that all illnesses are developing more serious forms although many powers capitalizing on belief that they can worm out of social responsibilities ... thus disaffiliation urges?

Will some fall off the edge? Profound ...

I am already sick and tired of snow.We got about 30 cm yesterday, and another 7-8 today, so the plow's been by again, and I can't get out to do the grocery shopping until all clear. I've done some of the back walkway, where it appears I am going to have to try and move that sodding great garbage cart all winter.

The genius who thought that a garbage cart that is almost as tall as I and probably half my weight, is going to be maneuverable through the feet of snow we get, should probably have their IQ re-checked.

Crap, that is pretty big. Around here, we have a small wheeled bin for green waste but our blue bins are still the old style and there's no official bin for other trash. You can put out bags if you like (there is a maximum, though). I use a sturdy Rubbermaid trash can that rarely gets more than half full anymore since so much of our garbage is food waste that can go in the green bin. Since the green bin gets picked up weekly, it rarely gets very full either given there are only two of us.

Our blue (recycling) and black (garbage) bins are bigger than our green (food waste) bins.

They are awkward to deal with but not impossible.

I know, right? My entire family could fit in our new blue bin we have to start using in the new year.

If we heat it we could rent it out.

The problems we have because we do not rest in the cold weather ... it is more natural! Kohl ... when Kahn 'din to a closed sense of cabin fever and the consequences ... fertility for something or other ... craziness? mad hatters ... a bit off in the head due to steroids!

It is said the brain is a large gonad ... leaving bottom-like sense in a lower level ... stick in the butte? Imagine the small homing syndrome ...
