Good morning! Thanksgiving weekend is here for those who celebrate it. For DR.'s appointment, even over phone, for reduced dosages, for coming home after a good trip, for these and other blessings and joys, we give thanks. These and other thoughts will be waiting for us at the Coffee Cart where we gather in spirit for conversation and support, connection and community, as well as drinking tea and coffee and enjoying the talents of the Wonderbakery. This morning they have produced individual pies, in apple, pecan and pumpkin. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and the pies smell wonderful All is ready, all are welcome. Come in and enjoy!

Thanksgiving at our house today.

My son and daughter-in-law work opposite shifts, rarely having time off together.

I am thankful that they sacrificed a day of vacation for us all being together today.

I was dragging the last couple of days so my prep not what i would normally do so going to be a busy morning.
 
So, I decided to do a covid test because I've had a fever. The test was negative. I talked to a friend who told me covid is going around the church. When I said I wish I had known, she was surprised I didn't know. I haven't been around a lot lately. How was I to know? Of course, wearing a mask anyway would have been smart. I really think I picked this up at church. I'll be watching the service from my recliner tomorrow morning.
 
I am feeling quite unwell myself. Went to church Sunday and woke up with a sore throat Tuesday. Things got worse for two days and symptoms stayed around..

Who knows if I got it at church?
Who knows if it is COVID?
 
Good morning! A homeward flight, Thanksgiving gatherings this weekend, and Covid returns... a lot to discuss this Sunday morning. Going to a worship service may not be advisable to many... if you can watch in online at home, would be safer. All this and what arises today joins us at the Coffee Cart, where we sort it out, offer support, and create new connections. We do this over coffee and tea, and this morning, over another lovely apple streudel, that the Bakery has produced. The tea water is boiling, coffee freshbrewed, and streudel is warm. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join the fun!

Church? *snorts* I just spent ten hours locked in a airtight thermos with several hundred people. If that doesn't get me sick, I can't really see church doing it. :LOL:

Anyhow, I am home and rather happy to be. Travel is becoming less fun with age, esp. the getting there, around, and back parts. At least the final third was a cruise so we weren't changing room every night like we were on the land tour portion. So I am back, probably for a while. Work could be fun. My dev manager and boss were supposed to be finalizing some things around a big project that I will ultimately be project manager for. As long as things haven't gone off the rails. Oh, and my new phone should be in. We are changing provider and I am due for a replacement anyhow so we'll replace it as part of the switch.

Welcome home.
I have been coughing a lot for a few days and my muscles are really sore. Most of my joints are achy, my nose is drippy, and my throat is a bit sore. The regular question arises - should I seek out a doctor before it gets worse, or hope it all goes away? I hate making that decision.
