No T-Rex exhibit anymore. Zach mildly disappointed.
Really? Any of the Canadian theropods at least, like Albertosaurus? Hell, our children's museum used to have one of those (not sure if it is still around since they moved to new digs and I don't have a kid to take anymore).

I just heard from the GP Oncologist at our local clinic. My liver numbers are creeping up. He's moving my CT from September 10 to next week. My oncologist in town is off until mid-September. He said he could consult with someone else if necessary. The GPO is a very chill guy. It's a little unnerving when he kicks into bossy doctor mode. It's also reassuring because he takes things seriously. Such is the cancer journey. f*** cancer.

Thirding the sentiment. Just heard that a member on another site had to pull out of meeting another member for a concert because he's been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Wants to get in a family trip while he still can instead.

Fourth?

It was the kids at Bloorview who really moved me. That kids get it is next level unfair. Undergoing brain surgeries, for example, then learning to walk again. One of Carter's many girlfriends fit that description. Really, his only age appropriate one.

Life is chaos and the chits that comes in gobs for many that can't see it because they are excessively pleased ...

The Golden Rule this goes Black! Satyr ... what a donkey!

There is a wonderful YA novel about a child with cancer. The author is a pediatric oncologist and the story is told from the sibling's point of view.

Sure wish I could remember the name of it.

I read it a few years ago. I emailed the author and received a lovely reply. Maybe it will come to me.

Riiiiiight. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the support everyone. It means a lot.

I got my treatment today and met one of the women in my cancer group there. We ended up in an overflow room so did a lot of chatting. It was nice. The doctor stopped by and chatted a bit too. He sent the request to change my CT appointment so I should hear soon. Medical Imaging booking clerks are pretty great here.

Happy Saturday morning! ROM visits, sadly lacking a T. Rex display, continuing health concerns, a flip of the bird to cancer, moral support for Northwind, a YA novel, and anything else that comes to mind; we bring it with us for chat, support, connections, a few laughs, and maybe a few tears, as we gather round the Coffee Cart for tea, coffee, and baked goodies. The Wonderbakery has come up with fruit turnovers this morning, in an assortment of fruits. They look and smell wonderful! The turnovers are nicely warm, tea water ready, and coffee freshbrewed. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join the fun!

The material required to make fat soul ... and thus some singing sadly about massive weight control problems ... enigmatic?

Everything observed renders some sense of question ... considering what is unknown ... autonomous, or autonomy? Very mousey ... like franc pastry ... stuffed dogs? Lets not get into that ...

Here we are at the far end of summer. Let's hope the fine weather hangs around for a while. We don't want to pull out the Crazyhearth any time soon

What a conjecture ... given the meaning of conjecture is incomplete and can never be when in a limited position as mortal! Immortal insinuates approaching immortal, or NDE!

I've observed many near death leaderships as in an etude of Peter Prin. The composure and process is disturbing ... them rising without proper intelligence!

The alternate goes down, heavy with information ... thus thick core!

hung out clothes this morning, and it felt more like fall than summer. I'm hoping we have a lovely fall. It is my favourite time of year. I love the colours, and the sounds of leaves that rustle on the forest floor when you walk.

Man, the kids next door are really lively these days. They were away for most of the week but yesterday and today, they've been having a ball in their pool and backyard. They've kind of dealt with the garbage issue but I'm keeping an eye on it still.

The house on the other side of them sold after a long haul on the market and the seller (He's been here longer than us. We once bought a computer from his son when the son worked at a Future Shop) told me it's another young family so save us and the couple to the West of us, our block is going to be back to being all families soon. Given age and health, I suspect that couple to the West might move sooner rather than later. They really can only stay in a place that size because an adult son lives with them.

We are mostly waiting on my retirement, even if I would be quite happy downsizing even now (2100 sq ft and a decently sized property for two people). I'm thinking two years right now since I'm getting a bit excited about a new project that I originally dreaded. If we stick the landing, it would a nice ending to my career there given my entire time there has been about transforming IT and this would be a kind of next step and also consolidation of that work. If it blows up (and I'm still concerned it might), then I might just want to get the f out of there.

I, too, am a Fall person, with Spring as a close second. Maybe it's just having lived my whole life in Southern Ontario, but summers are too hot and winters are too cold. Fall and Spring are more likely to hit my sweet spot (though a moderate summer or mild winter might in some years).

Good Morning! Happy Sunday! It does seem that summer is slipping slowly away, and autumn is subtly coming on. I'm looking forward to seeing colours of autumn in the near future. Even though it reminds us of winter weather to follow it, it is a season worth celebrating. We think of those out west who are experiencing severe weather.
We gather round the Coffee Cart for our usual morning caffeinating and snacks, as well as conversation and support, and making connections. This morning the bakery has provided cinnamon buns for our enjoyment. The tea water is boiling, coffee fresh perked, and buns still warm from the bakery. All is ready, and everybody is welcome. Come join the fun!

If the initiated question is eliminated ... does anyone care about anything like the parts of all-that-is?

Maybe some are overstimulated towards success instead of being prodigal (wasted) for everything that was gifted ... from what else? Nothing ... it is up there and somewhat corrupted by sparks ... the bulk being dark and formless ... peculiar eh?

Some believe there are little people out there mire specks, dots, pixels? Let us gather a few ... before the tyrants destroy the whole vision in order to satisfy there intimate needs to be all-there-is! Last M'N standing?

Epistemological enigma ... to forever puzzle the stray soul ... commonly dark (black) and hard to see under the trees ... composed comprehension?

Then that old adage; a thinking man is dangerous as inhibits unleased will ... may we rein in on that party! It is putting a nation in a hell of a state because of what's de void ...

When will they ever learn? Not while praising competition against the cooperation ... so watch them go at it and see if you learn anything of conflict resolution in stoic battles ... it is very sophisticated for those that believed it simple! Complexity wins ... the simple minded can't get over it ... Sisyphus?

It is really a debate between will and the facts ... foreordained end is yet something they can't observe due to the pall factor ...

Me; I'm a great believer in Limbic chemistry ... it requires balance ... not emotional running off ... it is draining ... like there's something running through Ide!

What's Ide ... other than counter to Ego and all that above and below ... metaphor? Considerable range ... ph*lex able (Zable) as dark in classic tongues ... smoldering?
