Hi all. Sorry for not responding earlier, or for causing any concern.
It was a colonoscopy -- 10 yr repeat as my mother was treated for pre-cancerous polyps. As it turns out, I seem to have picked up that genetic trait. I am now been put into 5 year repeats as a polyp required removal. It will be tested of course; however, at this time, i would say it is fine.
On the plus side, it is something that I am aware of to watch out for, so , not going to sneak up on me (or shouldn't), and is fairly relatively easily handled.
The prep was not as tough as I remember it, but, then maybe lots of GI issues over the years from metformin have made me less surprised by it all, well, and GI days during cancer treatment, too. On the plus side, I now know how much I weight when I am not full of sh**.
@Waterfall , you were just down the road from me - 10km from my house to Stillwaters. Paris is a lovely place to wander, and I am so glad that you got out, and enjoyed time with a friend. I particularly enjoy John Hall Linens there.
@chansen - i never thought about getting passes to the ROM at the library . good to know
I think it is the new normal. So much time and money dealing with medical stuff. .I seem to be on a medical roll, nothing major, just lots of catch-ups: dentists, eye appointments, cyst removal, and of course those periodic tests.
Is this part of being over 65?
Throw in the heart stuff from earlier in June, and I seem to have to constantly check my calendar for if I have a medical appointment.
They are all trivial, or well, relatively trivial. I know others don't have it so lucky.
Guess this is the "new normal"
