Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

Hello! I am back and haven't melted. We've been without hydro for 4 hours here. Meaning no AC in the afternoon on a day where the temp was headed for 33C. Survived, but glad it came on when it did. The temp on my upper floor is well past the level where we would normally put the AC on.

Good Monday morn! A hot weekend for many in this area, especially when hydro (and air conditioning with it0 stops working. Glad that all survived! We bring our weekend experiences with us to the Coffee Cart to discuss and sort out; to support, and empathize with one another; and to drink hot caffeinated beverages. With our coffee and tea today, we have danishes to enjoy. The danishes are warm from the oven, the tea water ready, and the coffee freshbrewed. All is ready, everybody welcome. Come in and join the fun!

Remember in some minds there is no environment ... thus nothing exists! "Mother" nature slinks off ... integral vacancy???? Negative in totality ...

Mind bending, or psyche war*page ... a sketch?

Today is a speech day for me at ToastMasters. I do appreciate the group, and the learning that I continue to have. I think back on my first ice breaker speech to where I am , just over a year in. It helps that we are a smaller club, so there are lots of opportunities for participation. we are also one of the few groups that continues to offer hybrid meetings with some people only being virtual.

I'm working on Dynamic Leadership, and I used the Bowron Lake circuit canoe trip that I went on due to the brilliant leadership of a fellow wondercafe member. Never would have considered without her encouragement.

The air has cooled here, and I am thankful. Sitting in our sunroom, a lovely breeze is blowing in through the screen doors. The girls and I painted rocks, and I think that i am going to figure out how to do smaller writing on them. All the brushes that i have create sloppy lettings.

I have a nasty rash that I am giving up with over-the-counter treatments, and per the pharmacist, am going to try and get into the doctor. Called this morning, and thrilled to be able to get in this afternoon.

Onwards & upwards.

Still steamy here. 25 with a humidex of 35 right now, going to 33 again. Then we get showers tomorrow and things cool off. As long as the freakin' power stays on, I can survive until then.

We're under a heat warning here too. I think it hit 30 yesterday. Thankfully we don't have humidity and we did get some evening breezes, so it's not awful. It looks like we'll have another day of heat, then it is supposed to cool down.

Hubby's aunt had a 100th birthday celebration in Ontario yesterday. We weren't able to attend. Hubby learned though, through talking to his cousin, that he has cousins who live about an hour away. We'll be meeting them on Saturday.

we did get some evening breezes
That was the saving grace early in this heat wave. A breeze came up late in the day so I could still manage my exercise walks. Backed off on that yesterday, though, now that we are hitting the mid-thirties. Exercise bike with the AC on is better once we get to that level.

Very hot today, but house quite tolerable. Two window air conditioners, one back, one front, furnace fan on, all ceiling fans on and a new one added in dining room. I can't tolerate being separate from outside at night, so my door to the rest of the house is closed, and my back door is open except for the screen door. There are developing 'zones' around here, which is very good. This is quite different for me. Although the Hippie and I were "engaged" for 24.5 years, we never lived together, so although I've lived with Mom, sister, kids, boarders, I haven't lived with a partner in one home in many decades.

It reached 31 here today. Another couple fires started not far from the one that's been burning for a bit. Thankfully, the one that has been burning is now under control. There is also rain in the forecast.

Good morning! Tuesday is here, with continued heat warnings in many areas; hydrate and try to stay cool. ToastMaster speeches and learning, rashes, 100th birthdays, and in some places cooling breezes and forecast of rain and lower temperatures; all of this and more comes with us to the Coffee Cart as we assemble for coffee, tea, and snacks. Looks like butter tarts today, some with raisins and some without. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and the tarts are nicely warm. All is ready, everybody is welcome. Come join the fun!

Stimulation for those underthinking; or those under empirical threat for doing so ... operational intelligence that is ...

I was again called a heathen Sunday in church for intellectual reason! Thus shades descend ... to cover-up dissention? Is that a quirk or just alien behaviour for Christians?

"I don't like it ... so I must hate it!? Extreme beliefs are extreme-ism ... either way ↔ ... medium is out and about with the eclectic thoughts!

Always remember ...

There are leading CEO's, Governing Agents and Believers that all the enigma's are the fault of democrats and people that have a wit of intelligence ... so don't be like that!

Stunned and stup end us is beta' ... it you look at it differently you're possibly displaced from the center spot ... thus far out reflection!

I'm told to keep distance ... those dancing want me no where near ... it is a positioning of the Blue Tango ... sadist?

What could I have done? Not much considering the heavy hands ... setting the protocol ... designed to be self-consuming for rational we don't understand ... get it? You may have to go round again ...

Blue is the shade of a sad Eire ...

Mmmmm. Butter tarts. (drool)

Though in a pinch, I lean slightly to pecan tarts myself. Got a real thing for pecans in general.

I went in to town this morning for a monthly brunch at Smitty's with church ladies. As always, it was a good time. Came home after doing some errands and now am sitting outside in a heat wave. Thankfully we have shade and a bit of breeze. Last I looked, it was 31. We have another forest fire in the area, near Port Alberni. It has doubled in size quickly which is not good. We are supposed to get cooler weather starting tomorrow, and rain starting on Thursday. Here's hoping.
