Sweet. Enjoy. What's on tap?I get to spend the weekend with my own kids for a change. And my wife.
This will be weird. I've spent all winter with other people's kids.

Just got the news, my old neighbour has finally passed. Sometimes bad news is good news.
I experienced this with both of my parents. The grief and the relief that it was over were very intertwined.Just got the news, my old neighbour has finally passed. Sometimes bad news is good news.
Good morning! The weekend has arrived! Kids and playgrounds, March break in some areas, looking forward to complaining about the heat, while scraping the windshield, ski times with family, and all the stuff that will come up today; we carry it with us as we gather round the Coffee Cart, for discussion and support, over coffee, tea, and muffins of several varieties. The tea water is boiling, coffee fresh brewed, and muffins warmed. Come join the conversations! Everything is ready, everybody welcome!

Snow flurries happening outside my window right now. Spring in Ontario is chaos incarnate, I find. I commented somewhere else that we seemed to have every form of weather possible in this part of the world in the past week. Except freezing rain. Mercifully, not that.Raining here. The temperature is supposed to drop off a cliff today, though. We'll be down to -9 tonight.
Spring in Ontario.
My cars are booked. One needs to go in for other work so I figure I may as well get it done at the same time rather than making two trips. It's my wife's car and the garage is near my office so we need to switch cars whenever I take hers in. My own can be done any time, really, given proximity to the garage (it's walking distance to the office so I just drop the car off and walk to work). I just figured things would be settling down by now.Last week I had a fleeting thought to remove our snow tires. Then I looked at the calendar.
I do ours myself, with our daughter. I've got the aluminum speed jack, cordless impact gun and torque wrench to make the job quicker than bringing them in to a shop, waiting, and paying for the privilege of taking longer. We then use that time to remove small stones from the treads and wash the wheels. My cars are booked.
