Just skiing, but with my fam for a change. Zach will be "teaching" me freestyle. He's the freestyler in the family now. Claire and I are racers. So he thinks he knows things we don't. He doesn't, but I'll let him think he does, and let him tell me how to ski moguls and boxes and stuff.

I need to coax him to try real jumps. He's so damn cautious. Getting him outside his comfort zone is a painstaking process.

Good morning! The weekend has arrived! Kids and playgrounds, March break in some areas, looking forward to complaining about the heat, while scraping the windshield, ski times with family, and all the stuff that will come up today; we carry it with us as we gather round the Coffee Cart, for discussion and support, over coffee, tea, and muffins of several varieties. The tea water is boiling, coffee fresh brewed, and muffins warmed. Come join the conversations! Everything is ready, everybody welcome!

Just got the news, my old neighbour has finally passed. Sometimes bad news is good news.

People stuck in reality often MS such observations ... they learn nothing ... and it has expounding nature ... exponential even! Some say the night sky is engulfing ... dark humus?

Raining here. The temperature is supposed to drop off a cliff today, though. We'll be down to -9 tonight.

Spring in Ontario.

Had a time with that around 10-11; lost 12 in 24 mons ... 2 Yans in time! Yanos & Yanis made the call ... there was this clap ... ONE won't do it --- some eastern philosopher! Suddenly it all came together ... critical moments ... angular attacks ... sets the distant beat! Non sense ... mostly as few are cognisant!

It is declared they don't want to know ... thus gnostic approach ... and it sticks not ... Hua? That shady lady ... psyche! Also the elder one ... so sophisticated that those swearing in simple don't get it ... like some politicians with their hand in the books and the nation's poke ...

Tell them nothing they say ... and what occurs to them? Amazing! ... right? Like Magi ... the "c" went out ...

Spring in Ontario.
Snow flurries happening outside my window right now. Spring in Ontario is chaos incarnate, I find. I commented somewhere else that we seemed to have every form of weather possible in this part of the world in the past week. Except freezing rain. Mercifully, not that.

Last week I had a fleeting thought to remove our snow tires. Then I looked at the calendar.

Calendars are mighty inventions ... sometimes used to press the medium ... as the sheet goes into they dryer ... further variants ...

My cars are booked. One needs to go in for other work so I figure I may as well get it done at the same time rather than making two trips. It's my wife's car and the garage is near my office so we need to switch cars whenever I take hers in. My own can be done any time, really, given proximity to the garage (it's walking distance to the office so I just drop the car off and walk to work). I just figured things would be settling down by now.

I do ours myself, with our daughter. I've got the aluminum speed jack, cordless impact gun and torque wrench to make the job quicker than bringing them in to a shop, waiting, and paying for the privilege of taking longer. We then use that time to remove small stones from the treads and wash the wheels.

So it doesn't really save time, but the OCD in me is more satisfied.

I don't have the patience to work on my own cars. I fill the bug juice and that's about it. I've had to put the donut on cars a couple times and, I think, the full-sized spare on our old CR-V once (they had a full-sized spare until 2007-ish). That's as much tire changing as you'll ever see me doing.

Mr Northwind is getting a fire going. We'll enjoy it while the sun is sort of out. It's supposed to rain later this afternoon. It's about 8° so a sweater will be worn.

Definitely "get a fire going weather" here today. Was out with my wife to get lunch and do some shopping and the wind is strong and bitterly cold. Feels more like a February wind than a March one.

It's horrible out there, and I had a flat again this a.m. Slow leak/seal broken in left front tire. Sudden flat twice in 3 weeks...damn, it's always something.
