I have been watching the neighbour’s snow removal. My Korean neighbours are fully on the ball- when we had the 8 hours of freezing rain, they cleaned their driveway 4 times and have the perfect bare driveway in the whole street. They share (one side) the driveway with another neighbour who is always lazy. He has one truck and two SUVs and a 18 yr old son- who is barely moving a muscle. They seldom remove snow and were not keeping up with the ice and snow mix and the ice floats the plough put in front of their drive. They just drive over it. Two days ago, I asked my son about what would be damaged on the bottom of an SUV if you scape over ice- same day the father in law got stuck with his van and must have said something, so today, the wife was working on that 1 ft + ice dam at the end of their driveway. She didn’t get very far. We still had -18 with windchill at night and -6 during the day. It’s not going to be above zero until Tuesday next week- and there will only be a short window to work on it. The cat and I will have some entertainment…

Well, If you want to watch funny snow removal, have a boo at my house. The boarder (a year older than I but stronger but bad knees) and I, with help from the big guy as his driveway/my need allow, are trying to cope with the sheer volume of snow. The blower does not reach above the banks. I blow it into the road, then back and forth into lower road banks, but it kicks over to sidewalk which plow then lands on my driveway. I watched a plow lift his blade upon observing a not-young man try to deal with the endless plow stuff. Respect.

I am probably going to redo my drive. It's brick right now but the ruts that form when the bricks heave are a pain (literally sometimes) when shovelling so I will probably say "Screw it" and go to asphalt. At least that should stay relative smooth for a few years if done right. Alternatively, get a shed built where I can store a blower. There's no room to keep one in the garage unless I leave one of the cars outdoors, which I would rather not do in winter.

My asphalt driveway is 55 years old. It's now pretty badly warped and a bit rutted (fortunately as a family we don't have heavy trucks or trailers), and there's weeds in cracks, etc. I resist having it redone because I don't want to harm the roots of my fav 61 year old maple whose roots grow underneath it. It's done very well as a driving/parking surface. And it will be okay with the snowblower, perhaps, in subsequent years, if I can get it level and wide early.

Well, you guys had a lot of snow- we, so far, had only amounts that didn’t warrant to get the blower started. Then ice on top, so not good for blowers either. I saw on facebook a suggestion to clear the left side before your drive as well to reduce the amount of snow the plough puts in front of your drive. That can work somewhat.
When we had so much snow a couple of years back, and they didn’t plough us out for two days ( we are a short unimportant subdivision, we had every resident already dug out their driveway when the snowplough came at 10 pm of the second day. He was a super nice driver and spend double the time by pulling the heaps in front of the drives back and moving them to the end of the road. He received a bottle of wine from one resident and waving and standing ovations from all others. That was when the snow was up to our waists.

Good morning! Happy Thursday! Snow and its removal, cold and ice, continuing winter fun, this and whatever we can think up today comes with us to the Coffee Cart for discussion. Today we have croissants to enjoy. The coffee is fresh brewed, tea water is boiling, baked goodies are warm from the oven. Come in from the cold and warm up, have a mug or cup, and a croissant. All are welcome, all is ready. Come and get it!

Ah, our chilling and seizing winter for use against golden meltdowns ... a psychotic expression? Well maybe mysterious as the homonid and hombres really hate indigence ... preferring the industrious ignor ant ... a small thing in the san ...

Imagine the abstract of a vaster darkness ... what could be in it?

It's another dreary day here today. I'm meeting a former coworker for lunch then will get bloodwork done.

I'm supposed to get my second treatment tomorrow. It depends on the bloodwork which should be fine. I'm not looking forward to it kicking my butt again. That being said, hopefully that means it's working. I anticipate a dose reduction is in my future.

I had a really nice lunch visit with a former coworker today. It was nice to catch up and to have some validating gossip. The food was good too. I went from there and got my bloodwork done. Now I'm about to open a good book. It is the latest in the Wrexford and Sloane series by Andrea Penrose. Set in Regency London.

Damn ... why is the Eire here as dense as Trump poop ...

No medical tests here for me for some 1 1/2 ... I've disappeared from the medical plot! Doomed to splat ...

I'm a bit that way inclined. I'm way overdue to see my Nurse-Practitioner over prescription renewals, nagging difficulties, and I need another dermatology consult. Big guy is nagging me; I'm just avoiding.

They seem to have wiped me off the records ... I don't exist in more perspectives than one. Can a mortal blind oneself? Like an urchin ... prickly street character ... pointed development?

Good morning! Friday has arrived! We think of those going through medical situations, who seem to have vanished from the system's view; lunch with former coworkers; books, dips, and whatever comes up in conversation today. It all comes with us to the Coffee Cart, as we chat about it all, over cups of fresh brewed coffee and tea, and warm doughnuts in assorted flavours. All is ready, and everyone is welcome. Come in and join the conversations!

Then there is the term "in drag" if caught in such shroud could you pull off the act? I had several aunts that could easily pose as men because of their stature and manner ... they were frightful! Thus the thing was drug out and baked ... it went on ... past ends ... some say a tense condition ... the Ba being soul as it was keyed up ... simpler when out of drag ... fragments of fabrication? Patches ... of which some are sensitive ... as empathy???? Therein the means ...
