Had a super productive day today. Hired young friend of daughter's for a cleaning bee. Bathroom, two ceiling fans, bunch of trim, some windows, a disorganized room sorted; and I did my usual ADHD of six tasks, none finished, which made a visible difference. A
Well done. It really does help to have 'stuff' sorted and cleaned up. Not easy to stay on task though. In my younger days I thought it was weird, or lazy, or something, to pay someone to do normal household chores. Now we pay Rochelle quite generously to do the things that make us hurt. She is no more perfect at it than I was myself, but she makes improvements. A plus is that she will tackle anything, including garden things.

We had a problem with mice getting in through a duct that brings fresh air into the house. Our furnace tech found one in the furnace. I've now put a grill in the outside opening of the duct to keep the little buggers out. These ones got stuck in the old humidifier, trapped by the fact that I had the duct to it closed since we weren't using it. There's probably a horror story in there somewhere (horror from the mouse's perspective). Anyhow, it's all cleaned out now and getting a test run. Fun wow.
I replaced about 5 vents on the exterior of the house last year. The plastic ones from the builder were turning to dust. I was worried about that very thing, but I think I got them in time to keep mice out. Found a wasp nest in one, though.

Black and white once ... they can raise welts ...

Good morning! Skiing injuries, more snow, mice in places where mice shouldn't be, wasp nests, and all the other things that have happened, and will happen, they come with us to the Coffee Cart in the Room. Today, we have bagels and toppings to go with the fresh brewed coffee and fresh steeped tea. Come in as you can, help yourself to the goodies, and join in the conversation! All is ready, all are welcome.

Then I had this encounter with Diarmuid O'murchu ... a social psychologist ... and real people despise psychology ... thus it departed with a great deal of accrued thought ... quite a spin ...

And the wheels go round ... leave it at that? Alief ... like a page in the great tri ... Λ ... point made and turned about ... |v| ? A Raugh "M" ... moderate ...

Call me Ishmael! What meaning does Ismael carry? Orphan, displaced, displaced people ... and thus flaming tongues in the desert ... an terrible mountain for the wealth gatherers to construct. Then imagine it appearing as a fireship ... not confined to the desert ...

How do we create our own end? Imagine without intelligence ... it is not that difficult ... yet the drive is on little doggies ...

No wonder the Great Mother got up and left ... no appreciation ... why me Lord?

Sacred reason ... bleeding hart! The powers are really crude and brutal ... like bull if they can't have their way ... destroy everything ... in Deja vu ... do you get the sense we've gone through this before? Stupid repeats ... because of what they loosed ... unspeakable ... imagine this carrying across to kerygma in Greek fires? Imbalance is disturbing allowing for dissonance and Eris & crap ... the insane with power do not recognize insanity ... they believe it normal!

So it blows ... that wayward wind ... MOG got up and went as a shadow ... give it a rest folk ... fodder ... mull 'n ... could be ET!

Sounds like the Super Bowl was quite a show. The Chiefs got clobbered, Taylor Swift apparently got booed, and Kendrick Lamar performed a disstrack aimed at Drake in the halftime show. Oh, and the orange one became the first sitting President to attend. Not a football fan so I took a miss as usual. Kind of glad I did from the sounds of it.

The windchill was -45C when we got up this morning. The forecast is pretty nasty for the next several days too.

I'm a bit ticked as I had thought to set up one of my knitting machines to see if I can see well enough too use it. I have spent the weekend trying to figure out why NEITHER machine will work properly. They were working when I packed them away! After several phone calls I've found a place in Saskatoon that thinks they can deal with them - they take different size yarns but operate much the same. Next job is to find a way to get them there.

Resurrection soup and a home made jellied chicken sandwich for lunch.

Eek. Now that's cold, folks. Right now, we are at -6, -13 with wind chill, and that's kind of where we've been of late. Low to mid negative single digits with a bit of wind chill. Overnight, we might get to double digit lows but I'm not going to be out and about then.

Stay warm Kay! I don't miss those temps. Sounds like a great day for soup.

I woke up feeling better with more energy. I had a shower and that wore me out! I'm currently recovering from it. How sad.

Showering can be exhausting when your body is unwell. I often just wrap myself in a cosy housecoat while I relax and recover. Sending a bit of energy and enthusiasm your way.

Just back from Toastmasters, where we had 3 guests, and 1 new member. Such is the way with the group, people try it for a while, some like it, some don't, some move, life gets busy. Happy though to have new people in the group.

My mother had bought a cockapoo named "J" in 2009 knowing that she was going to die before Dad, and did not want Dad to be alone. . Mom died in 2010 and J" became a very spoiled cockapoo, very unhealthy (due to how she was fed by my father) . After Dad went into a nursing home in 2017.
J" was cared for by my niece. "J" had a good life with my niece, who loved her grandpa. Dad died in 2019, and "J" became a permanent part of my niece's family. She is having to put him down and is heartbroken; however, I am thinking that given her start, she did well to live to 2025.

Here in Ca Nada some politician said the reciprocal tariffs on US products would be collected and given to industry to assist the profits while the general populace pays the bill ... that'd the norm in supporting inflationary trends ... right? The little people beta bear up .. stripped down ...

Remember logic is important to dispose of ...

Got hit with the bug going around. Slightly burning up, but pushed through and worked hard all day today. Maaaaybe not the best idea, but when do I go with the sensible option?

If I push through (and do more myself), this little project could be very lucrative. I kinda need that after spending so much of 2024 renovating my parents house for sale.

Give yourself permission to take it easy.
Hope you feel better soon.

Not really a "like " post. Hope you feel better and are able to complete your project

Please take care of yourself. Your health's important. If you don’t give yourself a break now, it'll catch up to you in a really not-so-fun way.

That project sounds exciting, though. Balancing your well-being with your ambitions is key. Taking a short rest will boost your productivity in the long run. You've got this, and there's nothing wrong with pausing to recharge

Get well soon

I hope you feel better chansen. I had the plague a few weeks ago and hubby got it from me. It's only fair that I should share with him since he brought covid into the home. Take some down time in there too
