Wow. We got a good Christmas present this year. My father's estate has finally been concluded. He went to file for his separation in March of 2019. Pandemic happened, he died, then she died and all the while she or her son were saying he wasn't entitled to half the property even though they were married over 40 years.

Of course the bank(s) has hurdles....

They often do, often to our disadvantage, I think.

However, I had a successful bank transaction this week. Needed to do my last mortgage renewal, he was efficient, prepared, in and out in 15 minutes. Impressed. My last interaction with this bank to accomplish a pretty simple job took 3 trips, several hours, and a relentless attempt to upsell me into stuff I didn't need or want.

Good morning! Happy Saturday! Business travels and opportunities for spouses to tag along, robins and squirrels, vaccinations, estate settlements, dealing with banks, and whatever may come up today comes with us to the Coffee Cart. Here we chat, support, maybe some advice gets passed along, over tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. We also indulge in top-notch baked goodies, like doughnuts, squares, and holiday fruitcake. Come join in the fun! All is ready, all are welcome.

Did someone say holiday fruitcake? I'm in! Especially since there are no calories involved here at the coffee cart.

What is easier to accumulate intelligence or innocence (accepting that innocence means you have been stripped of all capability of knowing anything)?

Does this wash with folks that will not seize the change to take some responsibility? Some say seize the Dai and thus they close off to that gifts ... and darkness falls! Some say that is the shadowy lass ... expect implications!

Those believing they have great power in hand will debate the entire issue down to nothing ... and then declare nothing is in existential ...

It is how tho' t escapes our observation ... for those that can or do not wish to observe and chose the och Ault field ... a alternate genre ...

Some say learning is boring or badly Bourn! Flame out ...

Beyond the novel a fantasy is a very large collection of words ... allows a place for epi St emo logical sprouts! St's, spirits, ghosts, or essences in the field of the former that is a tight closure ... that's en genre in Nordic expressions ... careful how you mash with the word(s)!

My observation is that folk chose ignorance, etc. because it is easier than learning Beta. A topic that can be, ultimately, expanded upon ... isn't that feral?

Fruit for me. I had a gallbladder attack yesterday, so I have to go back to being super careful about eating. I found out the reason for my surgery being postponed...the doctor is recovering from some kind of injury. I'm #2 on his list as soon as he is better.

Some say you see a flash of this comprehension as you cross the line from living into the dead poet's society ... lives must be wasted ...

It is writ not wrought ... something that some WOKE to ... and others didn't as they grasp for power ... a vision we come down to see ... melancholy?

That's blues ... there may be purple strains ...

I will have some fruitcake with my $1.25 double double McDonalds coffee this morning. My first experience with no GST, the same coffee is usually $1.31.
Being thankful for small things!

I got flu and COVID a week apart and neither caused much pain this time. Though maybe it's just my pharmacist getting better at giving shots. :giggle:
I have rarely felt any bothersome pain after shots. This fall I got shots for COVID, regular flu and RSV. It wasn't necessary to redo the pneumonia one.

Sorry you have OUCH to deal with. Hope your surgeon gets better SOON. One of my specialists cancelled my appointment while we were on the highway heading towards it. (Actually it was his receptionist/office manager). From the snippets that were shared I figured he maybe had stones somewhere in his system.

Lawyers always seem to take 'forever' to get their work done. Our son in law carried debts while waiting three years for his dad's estate to be settled. Finally done!

The lawyers weren't the issue. The narcissistic ex-wife and her son were. Of course they found lawyers who would go along with their s**t. I'm glad they are out of our lives.

There's always a lawyer who thinks they can make pretty much any case. To some degree, though, that's a feature, not a bug. Under our system of rights, everyone deserves their day in court and professional representation. Still, it would be nice if more lawyers would see when someone is bringing a nuisance suit or being an arsehole and maybe try to tone things down instead of just going, "ooooo, sweet, more billable hours."

Or in a province with community property would not agree to a spouse who says the other spouse of 40+ years is not entitled to half the marital property...

Good morning! Happy 3rd Sunday of Advent! We think of lawyers, gall bladders, aftereffects of shots, and anything else that comes up, and bring it forward for discussion and support here at the Coffee Cart. Coffee is fresh brewed, tea water (and hot chocolate water) is hot, and the holiday cookies warm from the bakery. All is ready, everybody welcome. Come join in the chat!

Imagine thinking about all things ... when there are those that would rather we didn't think whatsoever!

What does total lack of thought have as a metaphor? Some form of vacancy ... delinquency ...

There it is again ... gone!
