I've managed to rise. I don't think I'll shine anytime soon. Here's hoping coffee works it's magic.

Sending some love your way, with wishes for comfort.

Thanks. I imagine I'll be calling my doctor's office tomorrow. Hopefully I can see the doctor of the day. I may also call the nurse line at the cancer clinic. I'm a little concerned this might be the walking pneumonia that's going around.

Good morning! Rescued geraniums, forgetting to set the clocks back, making medical appointments, and all the other stuff that comes us, we come to the Coffee Cart to chat, discuss, maybe a laugh or two, or a sigh, along with tea, coffee, and fresh muffins. Come in when you have a chance, and join the conversations! Coffee is fresh brewed, tea water boiling. All is ready, come and get it!

Rescues ??? Can a heart be rescued when the majority doesn't believe hearts can break?

Then there is that song about opening the heart ... can this be done without spill? Imagine the bloodletting ...

The Bits even had a game of trying to split a man right down the middle evenly ... yet don't believe in the wrath of divine Ness? Yet recall only Christians can sin perfectly ... it is a system that can go viral ... mob madness?

Book Club today...I'm the leader (tried to get out of it, but there were no takers). It's an awful book, a domestic thriller, which isn't my favourite genre. But we do try to read a variety, and take suggestions from members. This book "The Wives" by Tarryn Fisher is not recommended!

I'm lying here listening to the radio station from Vancouver. I'm glad I'm not trying to get anywhere in that city this morning. We're being hit by a heavy rain storm that they are getting too. There's also wind. I've heard the wind and see the trees moving around out there. I'm glad I'm not going anywhere first thing this morning.

I'll be calling my GP office to see if I can get an appointment. I'm getting tired of this.

Yes this ongoing s**t gets tiresome

My folks were sick for 2 months. They just got over it. My mom's oncologist was a little concerned.

They're better now. My mom was down to 89 lbs. But then, I think she started at 90-something. She is downright chuckable, as has been her whole life. I mean, I'd be dead if I tried, but I think she would have good hang time before I was killed.

Well the rain has stopped for now anyway and the sky is blue. The sun is shining. That's a pretty big change. Apparently there's been some road flooding, well huge puzzles, in the area so it will help that the sun is out.

I called the GP clinic. All the doctor of the day appointments were already filled 15 minutes in. Thankfully my own doctor has ten minute slots he sets aside. I don't think I'll need more than that anyway. I had the choice of a phone appointment or in person. I chose in person so he could listen to my chest if necessary.

Yes - probably a quick listen & referral for chest x-ray. I had that last January - was nasty & hope you soon will get diagnosis & any needed treatment to get on that road to feeling better. Sending hugs.

Thanks. When the receptionist said it was a rapid appointment I asked what that meant. I believe 10 minutes is more than enough. My doctor is very conscientious about keeping to his schedule. That translates into respecting his customers' time as well. I appreciate that. I'm also very happy that I will see him. The other doctors are in the clinic are good. It just feels better to have my own GP today.

Took Claire to University of Guelph's open house yesterday. Got to talk to a psych prof and a neuroscience prof. Really good conversation with the latter. Later, I spoke to another psych prof to get some more info. He admitted that the psych admissions were outpacing new faculty hires, which makes it challenging for him and his colleagues. I asked if he wanted to find a couch upstairs so he could tell me more about it.

Congratulations on snagging the needed appointment. Sure is hard to get timely health care these days. Last I heard my doc was booking 5 weeks into the future. Getting a Same Day appointment with the doc of the day is tough - they are all filled almost instantly when the office opens. Seeing your own doc sounds like a plus so he can check your lungs and order any necessary tests/imaging. Hope whatever is ailing you resolves soon.

I'm glad I could see him. Apparently he puts these same day slots into his schedule. It's a very well run clinic. He ordered chest x-rays and I'm currently waiting my turn at the imaging centre now. I could have gone to the hospital too. I figured this might be better. Change of scenery at least.

The doctor couldn't hear anything in my lungs. The first thing he said when he saw me was that I looked sick. He'll call me when he gets the xray results this afternoon. If it's pneumonia he'll prescribe an antibiotic.
